The stage was all set, the spotlight was shining on her, it was perfect. The crowd applauded as she walked onto the stage, she curtsied many times. The crowd started chanting for a speech, she strided over to the podium.
"Oh thank you, thank you! It is such an honor to be here, serving as your next Queen of America. I will be an amazing queen and I will make sure to be loyal to the citizens." There was more waving until finally the ceremony was over.
"Jasmine, Jasmine!" Someone hissed
"I promise to be loyal to the citizens." Jasmine yelled, her eyes half open as she jumped up to her feet. Jasmine slowly opened her eyes until she was looking at the entire royal court.
"Someone must've forgotten her beauty sleep." Aiden called from across the room, Jasmine made sure to shoot him an extra evil death stare. The faint chuckles slowly diminished as Jasmine sat down in her throne. Aiden was smirking as Jasmine looked down, her cheeks a rosy pink.
"Alright, court dismissed, I need to talk to Sleeping Beauty about her behavior." The Queen said as everyone got up and bowed before leaving.
"Somebodys in trouble." Taunted Aiden as he left with his mother. Jasmine rolled her eyes in disgust. I Hate him sooooo much! Jasmine thought leaving the room with her mom and dad, the King and Queen of America.
"I am so disappointed in you Jasmine, embarrassing me in front of everyone like that. No dessert tonight and no TV!" The queen finalized, figuring out how to make it up to America for the embarrassment Jasmine just caused.
Meanwhile...Aiden's mother had similar behavior toward Aiden's behavior. "Why on Earth would you blurt out like that!? We were in the Royal Court and blah blah blah, respect b-blah b-blah blah, BLAH BLAH BLAH! B-blah b-blah blah, blah. Blah. Blah! AIDEN!!" Aiden's mother yelled, snapping him back to reality. "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME!?" Aiden takes a few seconds to gather up his answer. "May...be?" Aiden murmured wondering what was going on.
"What am I going to do with you." His mom groaned but Aiden was already back in his own little bubble. Hmm the Princesses, or should I say her royal poopynesses, birthday is coming up. I wonder who I should bring... there's rosa, and lily, Oooo how about-
"AIDEN CLEAN UP YOUR ROOM NOW!!! Also you won't be asking any girls out because one is already assigned to you." Aidan ignored the first part of what his mom had said turning his head and listened intently finally.
"Who?" Aiden asked immediately regretting it.
"Why, her royal highness Jasmine." His mom replied
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOT HER!!!!! ANYONE BUT HER!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!" Aiden yelled in agony. WHYYYY HER, anyone, even ugly Mugly and he is a BOY!! Aiden flopped his head onto his pillow and sighed. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad...As long I get to pick out what I wear...
Jasmine looked down at her orange dress that had at least twenty layers of puffy fabric. She looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Maybe it won't be so bad, I'm sure his mom wouldn't let him come in something ridiculous right? Sadly she was mistaken. When she walked into the ballroom, there standing with his mom wearing a pink tuxedo with about a million frilly ruffles, was Aiden. He was sulking in the corner while the Queen and his mom talked. Slowly Jasmine walked over, stepping on her dress and falling flat on her face the second she thought she had made it over. Aiden cracked up while he pointed at the orange fabric mess. Jasmine stood up and glared at him as he started insulting her.
"Quite the entrance my lady!" He sarcastically said, clapping very loudly and slowly as Jasmine started blushing and looking at her dress. A few songs went by and neither of them said anything the entire time.
"Hi" He said looking straight ahead, glancing at her as she stared into space.
"Hmm?" Jasmine said turning to look at him.
"I said hellooo, not only do you have two left feet but you're also deaf, fantastic!" He said storming out of the ballroom. Jasmine sighed and ran after him as he pushed people out of the way, leaving a path as he rampaged down the halls. Finally they made it outside and to a large oak tree. Aiden sat down and stared into space, he was a small walk away from where Jasmine was. The wind whipped her hair as she walked through the forest. She saw a clearing and a small pond, across the pond was Aiden sitting out in the rain.
"I'm sorry if I upset you?" Jasmine asked, not knowing why he was mad.
"Leave me alone." Aiden snapped back. A giant storm cloud swirled above. "Um Aiden I think we should go inside now." Jasmine said frantically as the storm cloud started sparking electricity.
"You can go inside if you want, i'm staying outside." Aiden defiantly replied. Jasmine saw the lightning start to reach out and each time getting closer to Aiden. Jasmine jumped into the pond and started trudging closer to Aiden. In a split second the lightning hit Aiden right after Jasmine had grabbed his ankle. They both collapsed onto the ground. The next thing she knew was that she was in a hospital bed, and the nurse didn't say much but she did say superpowers. Jasmine looked at the ceiling and saw water droplets dripping from the floor above.
