Chapter 10

(Zelda's POV)

it has been about seven weeks since me and link had sex. I didn't exactly know how pregnancy worked and my mom was no help at all. I was beginning to think it failed and we had sex for nothing. Well, that is until today. Right now im hunched over the toilet, i woke up with a horrid stomach ache and now im puking. My parents weren't home and i was alone.

I pulled out my phone and dialed links number quickly. He picked up on the third ring. "hello?" "link.. can you come over, please?" I said, I was choked up and my voice was cracking. "are you okay?" I didn't reply. I thought i was gonna puke again. I've been here for about five minutes. "Zelda?" "please just come over" "ill be over soon" He hung up and i set my phone down then threw up once again.

He got here about 5 minutes later, meaning he probably ran, and let himself in. i heard his footsteps walking up the stairs. I leaned against the wall. I still felt really sick. he found me. "are you okay?" he asked, slightly worried. "no, i just threw up." he crouched next to me. "its okay..." he rubbed his hand on my back. "link i have a request for you" "what?" "you think you can go get like, pregnancy tests?" he was silent a second "come on, man up and do it please?" "okay" "and can you pick up some ginger ale to?" "sure" "thank you linky" "don't call me that" he said, chuckling slightly.

(Link's POV)

i got another five texts from ben. he was really starting to piss me off. I gave in and called him. "DID YOU GET ANY OF MY TEXTS?!?!?" "all 50 of them" i said, annoyed, looking at the selection of pregnancy tests. "well why didn't you respond to any of them?" "i was with Zelda" "you're always with that bitch!" he complained. judging by the slur in his words he was drunk... Again.

"shes not a bitch" i said, deciding on one. I wasn't a pussy about buying these, Zelda needs them and im happy to buy them for her. I decided to get her chocolate as well, knowing her, she'll be happy. I also got her some crackers too and other foods to make her happy. then i got the ginger ale and went to the checkout. Ben kept bickering about how im 'forbidden' to hang out with Zelda. "Look ill call you back" i said, walking up to the desk. I hung up while ben was protesting and paid for the stuff.

The clerk smirked at me. "i wish i had a boyfriend like you" she said, "what do you mean?" "well, my boyfriend dosent buy this sort of stuff for me. If you don't mind me asking, whos your girlfriend?" "Princess Zelda." i said, making sure she didn't see my ring. "wow, well it makes sense, you're names link right?" "yeah" "i thought so, i was in your history class." "i know" "well, have a nice day" "you too" She smiled at me and i smiled back, then left and headed back to Zelda's. My phone kept going off and i finally answered it. "ben what?" "come home pleeease" 'No you're drunk" "I am not, Drunk" he said giggling. Yes, i said GIGGLING.

"Im hanging up now" 'Nooooooo don't leave meeeee" I ignored him and hung up.

I was beyond fed up with his drinking. That's literally all he does. I spend a majority of my time at Zelda's now. Hell, i spend so much time there, her parents gave me a key to the house.

I let myself in and went up to Zelda's room. She was laying there, hugging a pillow to her chest. "hey" i said. She looked over at me. "hi" I handed her the bag and she pulled out the Snack and smiled. "you are literally the best" she said, Getting up from the bed and hugging me. i hugged her back. "hey, do you mind if i spend the day here again?" "is ben drunk?" "yes, i had to turn off my phone. God i feel like breaking in to tears because of how frustrating hes being. If he keeps up this drinking then i am not bringing a child into that house. Meaning, you might have to help raise him or her." "yeah, oh, speaking of which" she went over to her bed and pulled out the test. she opened the box and there was a small instruction thingy that she read.

"okay, ill be back" she said, walking out of her room with the test. I smiled at her as she walked past me. I looked out the window across her room and smiled. my eye caught something that was sitting on the bedside table. It was a box. I went over to it, the glitter and stickers were all to familiar.

I traced the messy writing on the top, then opened the lid. My childhood rushed back to me. I looked through the pile of photos and Zelda came in the room. "those were some good times huh?" I jumped. "god you scared me Z" She chuckled. "we have to wait a bit for the results by the way" "how long is a little bit?" "about five minutes" "ok"

Those five minutes seemed like 5 hours. Both of us were eager to know the answer. she had set a timer on her phone and when it went off. She jumped up. "ill be back" she said, turning off the alarm.

(Zelda's POV)

i walked, ok, more like skipped, to the bathroom. I picked the test up off the sink and looked at it. My eyes widened. I stared at it for a minute to make sure i wasn't seeing things.

I then snapped back to reality and walked to my room. "link..." i smiled. "im pregnant" He got up and walked over to me, i showed him the test and he hugged me. "this is amazing" "yeah i know, i feel so happy. i mean, i know its you and ben's child but still." 'Its your child too Zelda. you can be like a godparent maybe" "okay!"

(Link's POV)

she kissed my cheek. "Ill be back" She left the room ad returned moments later. Then jumped in my arms and squealed. "This is so exciting!" "yeah" "should we tell ben?" "lets wait till hes sober, whenever that may be" She half smiled. "hes not being very responsible is he?" "nope" I sat on the floor next to Zelda's bed and she sat next to me.

"I cant do this alone Zelda" i said, sighing. "Don't worry link, i will always be ere for you" "Thanks Zelda" "no prob"

Last chapter, next is the epilogue. Wow, i am on a roll tonight XD

yeah there will be a huge time skip in the epilogue because that's gonna be the birth. Then The first chapter of book six is gonna be another time skip and start in The child's teenage years.
