The ride to St. Petersburg was no different from most of the trips. Everyone talk and occasionally sang and everyone went silent near the end. St. Petersburg was glowing when they arrived. The sky was dark as the wind was blowing, only making the city more welcoming. Everyone headed towards the city except Natsu who walked away from the city.
Lucy followed him, holding onto his arm once the city lights disappeared. She tried to keep up with him, his pace went faster with each passing minute. Until he found what he was looking for. There was a small cabin in the middle of the woods, with only one light on. He ran towards the home, not waiting for Lucy to pick up her skirt and run after him. He knocked on the door and waited for a sign of human life. Lucy watched through the window as a small girl with blue-purple hair crawled out of her room and walked towards the door. The girl was partially asleep, she fumbled with the knob as she tried to open the door. She opened up the door and stared at Natsu for a moment, her jaw hung open.
"Natsu!" She cried out, "you're home!" She wrapped her arms tightly around him he wrapped his arms tightly around her and smiled. "Come inside," Wendy said. "It's freezing out her she pulled him inside as she noticed Lucy standing by the door. She brought her inside before asking her questions.
"You're Lucy, yes?" Wendy asked. She was standing by a stove, heating up a kettle of water. Lucy sat at the dining room table while Natsu went to look for his brother. She nodded.
"Yes, The Royal Sharpshooter," she quoted. Wendy turned to her with an arched eyebrow.
"The what?"
"Did I say that wrong?" Lucy asked. Wendy shook her head.
"As long as you were saying, "the royal sharpshooter," then yes, you said that right. I've never heard Natsu refer to you as that. I only know you from his letters," Wendy told her. She was trying not to notice the fighting going on in Zeref's room. It was hard for Lucy to hear anything but the Russian curses coming from the other room.
Wendy tried to change the subject by asking about what Lucy's life was like in Austria. "Everyone knew who Count Heartfilia was," Wendy said, "I'm sorry for your loss."
"Thank you, I'm sure there's someone who misses him dearly."
"You don't?"
"I do, but not as much as I should," Lucy said. As the kettle started to whistle, a man walked into the room. His eyes and hair were dark unlike his skin, which was very pale. He was dressed in a night shirt and an old pair of pants.
"No, I don't care if you're here. Plan your trip so you come back at four in the afternoon not one in the morning!" He grumbled.
"Can't you be happy to see your little brother?" Natsu asked. The man walked to the stove and poured himself a cup of tea.
"I'd be happier if I had a cup of coffee," he mumbled. He looked up from his mug and caught Lucy's eyes. He stared at her for a moment before turning to Wendy. "Is this Erza? The scary one?"
"No, Erza's the redhead."
"Which one is this?" He asked. Natsu poured himself a cup of tea and sat down next to Lucy. Wendy giggled to herself before she replied.
"The Royal Sharpshooter," she said. He stared at her for another moment.
"That blonde with the rich dad?"
