Chapter 9: Working for my Girlfriend is a Pain

Lex's POV

I've started working for my Panga, yes, that's what I call her! The routine was becoming monotonous: booking roundtrip train tickets from Hakata to Tokyo, preparing her wardrobe, protecting her from overzealous fans, and organizing her schedule. It's no wonder her previous PA/bodyguard quit—this job can really take a toll on you. I was experiencing burnout to the max.

But seeing her smile every day gives me a boost of energy. Plus, I keep my family back home in mind, who still need my support. I can't let them down now.

Just keep on fighting, Lex!

Sakura's POV

Poor Lex. He's probably exhausted from all the hard work as my PA/bodyguard. I want to treat him to dinner at my place, but I need to do it discreetly so the paparazzi don't catch wind of our relationship.

I've got it—I'll ask him to help with groceries. It's part of his job description, and it won't raise any suspicions with the press. Sometimes, I amaze even myself with my clever solutions.

Later that Evening at Sakura's Apartment

Lex: "So this is your place!"

Sakura: "Yep! Make yourself at home!"

Lex: "Where should I put this grocery bag?"

Sakura: "Just leave it on the island in the kitchen. I'll change into something more comfortable and start preparing dinner for us."

Lex: "Okay. Do you live here alone?"

Sakura: "Yes, but my younger brother visits occasionally. Why do you ask?"

Lex: "Just curious."

After Sakura prepared dinner, they sat down to eat, discussing their lives and their roles as breadwinners for their families. They got to know each other much better.

After dinner, Sakura invited Lex to stay the night since it was getting late. Lex agreed but mentioned he would sleep on the couch. They both went to bed, unaware that Sakura had something planned.
