Mausi's POV

"I'm so sorry guys, I couldn't find her," Kol said appearing in the room. She seemed rather blunt, and she was probably afraid of being the one to tell us the bad news. "So we have no way of finding out where she is?!" Rozene asked. A large frown on her face. "I'm afraid not," Jensen frowned, "What we do know though, is that the blade that almost killed Mausi, it's called Azrael's blade. Only Azrael herself can heal the wounds from it."

"Herself? I thought Azrael was a guy," Randy frowned. "No, She was in a male vessel, word on the street is she finally found a female vessel," Kol corrected. "IT DOESN'T MATTER IF AZRAEL IS MALE OR FEMALE!" I yelled to get their attention, anger finally settling in, "Either way, I'm gonna kill it if Dyani doesn't appear in front of me by the end of today!"

"Mausi's right. Who knows what they're doing to her," Steve said. "It's going to take a fucking miracle to find her!" I frowned with my voice still loud. Then there was a loud crashing sound coming from the hallway outside of the rooms, grabbing everyone's attention. Avery, Jensen, Rozene, and I were the first to react to the sound. We were rushing out the door almost immediately.

"Well... Does this count as a miracle?" Avery asked looking at the three of us as the others came in and saw the same sight. I walked over to the raven that was squawking and trying to flap its injured wing. "Is that Elpis?" Martin asked. I nodded bending down to pick up the inured pet. As soon as she was in my arms, she stopped her squawking and rested calmly in my arms.

"Is it possible she came from where they have Dyani?" Jensen asked. I looked at Elpis then at Jensen, "Can you heal her?" He walked over and ran his hand down her back. She made a chirping sound showing that she was in pain, then she was quiet. "Her wing is healed, but if she was this bad... I can only imagine how bad Dyani must be," Jensen said as he pet her.

"Bad!" Elpis squawked. "I almost forgot she could talk. She talks like a human sometimes, but it comes out as though she is a parrot!" Rozene said walking over, "Elpis, do you remember where Dyani is?" She asked the now healed raven. "Yes!" Elpis replied. Signs of sadness and relief were made across all our faces.

"Can you show us?" I asked. "Yes!" She squawked as she took off from my hand and circled all around us. She was waiting for us to be ready to to go.

Dyani's POV

I woke up to screaming and loud crashing noises. I could feel magic in the air, but my body could hardly take the pain of me just laying here. It felt like weeks since the first night, but I can only guess how long it's truly been. All I know is, I want to fade away.

I truly wish I had accepted death from the get go of Azrael trying to kill me. I'd take that over Mausi's constant angered glare any day of the week. I couldn't sleep, my mind torturing me with her every time my eyes were closed. I don't know when the last time I was able to do so was.
