Introduction, Background Info, and Opening Thoughts.

Sometimes I lay in bed and think about you, about us... and about what I wish we were and what I wish we could be. You could parade into a room where everyone is frowning, and just your presence could put a smile on someone's face. I mesmerize about how I wish you were mine, even though you're not. I have never needed this more, and I will never let this feeling go. As long as your smile doesn't fade, my feelings won't either. 

What you are about to read is my thought process, decision making, and background story for the main character of this book and why she is the way she is... so if you aren't interested in my point of view, then feel free to skip to chapter one. Although, if you would like to understand and relate more to the story, continue reading :).

I don't know what I'm going to call this yet (I'm pretty sure it will be Faded), but I think it's going to be a Cameron Dallas fanfiction, it's going to be a fanfiction because that's pretty much all that I've ever read, and will ever read.

Main Character Ideas and Description:

So I think that I want the main character to represent someone who is a lot more like the readers. Someone they can connect to. I know that the gorgeous, beautiful singers, models, and Instagram baddies are cool and interesting characters, but it's not something that most of them can relate to. So, therefor I may do someone who is in between so those who like stories with unrealistic body types and looks will be hooked, but also those who like more relatable, real, and intriguing characters will be satisfied with the way they act and look. I just want to meet somewhere in the middle.

Based off of my thoughts, I think that I am going to have a female who is a junior in high school (I am doing high school because a lot of my readers will be able to relate to the setting and the story line). For personality, I feel as if everyone always wants to either write about the shy girl that no one talks to, or the overly confident girl who has everything she could ever want including a rich daddy who buys her a new foundation to cover up her problems every week. Okay, I know I'm probably over reacting and all but still! Most families aren't insanely rich, or just rich at all. Like I said, I really want the readers to connect with the story and I don't want it to be like most stories.

But for looks because I know that it is important to have a good visual idea of what a character looks like, the main character won't be crazy tall, or crazy petite. I want her to be average, because that makes the story line more broad. Therefor 5'6" will be around her height. I am a brunette, so being the little biased being that I am, she will be brunette. Her hair length will touch the middle of her back, and she will cut it sometime in the story. Her eye color will be a mixture of green and hazel, because hazel is a common color and green isn't, so you have a bit of diversity there. I like freckles, I think their unique... so I will put them around her nose area, but not her whole face. Don't get me wrong, those are gorgeous and all it's just that this is how I imagine the character. Now when I thought of her body type, I was contemplating whether or not I was going to make her like all other fanfiction books where she's super skinny but she thinks otherwise. So what I am going to do, is she will not be super skinny, but I want her to be confident in her own skin... therefor she will be fit, but won't deny it. With that statement... It's not like she's going to be boastful, but she will be confident. The way that she dresses will be somewhat bohemian, Tumblr, and casual all at the same time. Basically, she will have her own sense of style without being super out of the normal.

Name Ideas For My Characters:

So I honestly always struggle in this department. Because I wish to be honest with my readers, I've read some stories where I actually hated the name and it made me want to stop reading the book. The name of someone says lots about them, so here are some potentials.

-Kamryn

-Olivia

-Rylee

-Emma

I'm not saying there are my only options, but I like these names. If you have any other names then please feel free to leave them in the comments. If you dislike any of them, comment also so I can get a better idea of what I should give to my readers, I mean you guys are the reason I've gotten this far, thank you :).
