The sharp piercing sound jolts me awake from my lumber sleep, leaving me dizzy and annoyed. I looked over to my phone and pounded the stop button several times before my phone recognized my fingers touching the screen. My phones fully charged but no text messages or anything which I'm kinda glad not to see. But I use to have a lot of friend's where I lived, now that's far behind me in the past. I stood up after almost falling on my ass again and check the time to see that its 6 am. I grab a pair of black skinny jeans and a grey long sleeve thermal shirt, I also grabbed an orange and black flannel and wrapped it around my waist and pulled up my sleeves as I walked downstairs. Of course, though being the dunce I am I almost forgot my backpack, It was a dark red cloth color and the bottom is black leather. I figured that I would get it before I leave so I sat down in the empty room and started to unpack the family photos and possessions we got before we left. I began to hang pictures and came across a frame that was all too familiar. I grabbed the frame and looked at it. The glass frame had the words BFF and Friends, all of us were laughing in the photo and smiling like the kids we were. We were at a park that day, I remember that it was the day that Sheila got her tooth out, then she freaked out thinking it was a spider. We use to get in so much trouble by sneaking out and roaming the streets.. we had a blast back then and now that I'm looking back I guess that those were the good old days. We were the three musketeer's till we all moved away, Sheila the youngest moved to Sacramento, but Megan.... she died two years ago in a car crash, her father was drunk and so was the other driver. They got into a head-on collision going 70 and 80..... she died on impact so she didn't suffer thankfully but that was the last time anyone ever spoke her name. Sheila and I met up during her funeral and decided to stay in contact, see Megan wanted us to stay connected with her, but with her being dead we felt that we had to keep her wishes going. An all too familiar feeling hits and tears rolled down my face as I remember the day I got the tragic news, but today I can't mope around, today is a new day and I'll try to meet new friends. Oh crap, that reminds me I got to text Sheila. I grab my phone and text her good morning. It was six thirty now and I decide that I need coffee if ima be able to wake up. I head upstairs and wrote my mom a note saying that ima head to school early and that I love her. I grab my backpack and head out into the autumn cold winds while heading to a nearby Starbuck's. The sky was a baby blue with a hint of purple filling in towards the bottom of the sky, the clouds were stunning, but the honking and traffic near me kinda ruined the mood. I walk into a Starbucks and there was a small line, I waited for my turn and a cute cashier looked at me and asked what I wanted.
"I would like a venti caramel frap with extra caramel to please," I said pulling out my wallet and grabbing a ten.
"Yep that would be four dollars and fifty cents" He held out his hand as I dropped my money into it.
"Ok so what was your name," he asked while handing me my receipt.
"Justin," I said while walking away to a nearby table. This guy came in maybe he was around seventeen or eighteen but he was very cute, hell he was hot. But anyways he goes up to the counter and orders his drink, he had on a black tank top and dark blue pants that fit him well, he was fit and very tall but also very fuck boyish, so maybe he was like a jock or a prep. Oh god, I need to stay away from him if he is.
"Justin, your drink is ready," The cashier said while putting my drink on the marble counter. I went and grabbed my cup
"Leon your drink is also ready" The guy put another drink next to mine. I take my drink off the counter and turn around and the next thing I knew, I was on the floor with hot coffee all over the floor and my drink all over the tank top dude.
"Are you fricken kidding me, ugh watch where your going" the guy spat at me then stormed out of the place.
"Are you ok sir, I can grab you another drink, it's on the house" The worker said.
"Umm ya, please" I helped the boy clean up the mess before he went to the back and made me another drink. I grabbed my new drink and thanked him and began to worry about the rest of the day and thought about my streak of bad lucks. I walk for about fifteen minutes and made it to school only to realize that I don't have my classes and I'm completely lost, great what an awesome first day of high school this turned out to be. I walked around till some sophomore stopped me and asked if I was lost, I said ya and asked where the front office is or at least the attendance office. I thanked them and I was on my way after some confusing minutes of directions that made me even more lost. I eventually found the front office and walked in and headed directly to the front desk, I put on my nicest voice asked the lady for my scheduled.
"Ok, what's your first and last name, " The older woman asked as she typed away at her desk.
"Justin Miller," I said smiling at her trying to be extremely nice because sometimes they can be scary as hell.
"Ok here you go and if you have any questions please just ask someone, I'm sure they will guide you to class," She said looking back at her computer and continued to type after handing me my schedule. I walked out of the office and just followed the map to my first class. I made it halfway down the hall and noticed the time, it was eight fifty-four I have a minute before the bell rings and by then I'm praying that I can make it to class before the halls fill up with crazed lunatic students. I quickly follow the map into the three hundreds side of the school. When all of a sudden a big loud annoying ring shot round the school and all I could say was shit before the students started flooding the halls.
