Skylar was a girl. Just a normal girl, so she thought. Her hair was like a rose-gold-pink color. She has blue eyes and a skinny waist and nose. She was often listening to music to relieve stress.
She has an orange-ish cat. Ginger, her name is. He is 11 years in age. She loved him a lot.
Other then her cat, she has her dad. She didn't have a mom, for what she doesn't know is that she was adopted when she was really young. Only, her father always told her that her mom left right after birth, which was...partly true.
Her dad really didn't look like her. Known as Mr. Clarkeez, he had black hair and hazel eyes. He's a bit stubborn.
Skylar woke up with her cat laying next to her on her pillow. She stroked his furry belly and smiled. To her, doing this is satisfying. She looked over at her alarm clock. 8:21.
8:21..?!
Skylar sprang out of bed. She slept in late! And it's a Friday so she has school!
Skylar goes to Orange County High(OCH) school. She had a few friends there, such as Emily and Layla. Others like Sophie. But, she's always wanted to meet Liberty. She thought that the name was pretty cool, meaning freedom and all. Her hair is sandy brown in color and is pretty long. She's the average height of a freshman. Liberty never really had free time, though.
Meanwhile, she raced downstairs. She tried to multitask. But, tying shoes, eating cereal, and checking for homework was most certainly not easy.
Her father heard the noise and ran into the room, yawning. "Dear," he started. "What on earth are you up for this early?"
She felt like pointing out that it wasn't early, but she said screw it.
"There's school today!" Skylar half yelled half said to her dad,"I'm late!"
Mr. Clarkeez chuckled and stared at her daughter. "Sky, school today was canceled." She heard him mumbling the words 'which I don't know why'. "So, I went into your bedroom and turned off your alarm. I was wondering, though... Why not use your phone for an alarm?"
Skylar sighed and shrugged. Feeling pretty stupid, she cleaned her cereal bowl, took off her shoes, and shoved her homework aside. Probably just a teacher work day, Skylar thought. Since she already changed, she went over to the front door, about to go outside. Only her dad stopped her in her tracks.
"Where are you going?" He asked. Skylar thought for a second. "To the shop on Ravens Street," she answered. Her dad nodded,"You gonna drive? Or do you want me to come?" "You can come with me."
A few minutes later, her and her dad walked out of the house, both clutching a bag or purse.
"So," her dad began. "Why did you want to go there, anyways?" Skylar answered and said,"I needed to escape from the house." "Good answer."
The drive was pretty quick. Skylar jumped out of the car and shut the door. Her dad smiled and got out as well. "Here we are, Sky."
Skylar was wearing gray skinny jeans, a white and black top, and had her black headphones around her neck. She always at least had them with her, if not on her.
Meanwhile, she browsed at a bunch of different things in the store. She saw gummy worms..books...bird plushies.... Nothing really stuck out to her, though.
Mr. Clarkeez waved at Skylar and motioned to the area he was going. Skylar waved back and nodded.
Skylar walked around the store a bit, occasionally running into things she liked. Nothing worth buying.
