Chapter 3
Jani's POV
"Jani!" I turned to see that girl who I think stuck up for me yet banged Jason. I was kinda upset with her. I thought she was against him. "Hi uh-" What? She never told me her name! "Sissy." Odd name. "Hi Sissy. What are you doing here?" I asked. "I want to apologize for what happened between Jason and I." She said.
"I thought you didn't like him." I raised a brow. "I don't, didn't." She smiled sheepishly. "What changed you're mind?" I crossed my arms. "Idk, I just--he's got charm. I couldn't help it! It's like something took over me and I fell in his trap!" She looked horrified. I chuckled. "Truth?" I asked. "Truth! I'll never fall into that again, promise!" She said.
"So you don't like him anymore?" "Nope" She said popping the "P" "Truce?" She saiod with hope. "Truce." O chuckled. She ran and gave me a big bear hug. "I got a new pretty friend!" She squealed. "And you're cray cray." I laughed. "So what cha doin here?" I was curious.
"I live on this street!" She said happily. "Oh cool! What about Arnold?" I asked. He's kinda cute, no he don't look like a nerd, he's just smart so people call him that. "He's help tutoring people at school." She said. "Well that's nice of him." I said. "Yeah he's a sweetheart." She sighed dreamy like. "Sounds like you have a crush." I pointed out.
"Ha ha. Well gots ta go! Bye!" She ran off and I shook my head laughing. I walked inside my house to see my mom cooking? "Hey mom what cha doin home so early?" I asked. "Cooking, baking." She said. "What for?" I asked again. "Our new neioghbors are having dinner with us." She said.
"Oh cool! Need any help?" I asked. "Yes please." I grabbed an extra apron, washed my hands and started with whatever instructions my mom gave me. 2 Hrs has passed. It's 4 pm and we're done! "Ok let's get ready, then we'll set the table. They'll be over by 6." "How many people are coming?"
"8." I looked shocked. "Whoa that's a lot of people! Thank God for a big kitchen with a big table." I laughed. "Amen to that." We both laughed. I walked upstairs to my room to look for something to wear. "HEY MOM?!" I yelled. "YEAH?!" "HOW SHOULD I DRESS?!" "FORMAL-CASUAL!" "KAY! THANKS!" I ran back to my closet.
I grabbed my green sun dress and ran into my bathroom to take a quick shower. Once I was done I blow dried my hair then curled it. I grabbed my gold heart necklace with matching bracelets and my golden roman looking sandles with a little heal. I put on maskeup then headed downstairs to see my mom.
"You look cute." She said. "Thanks. You look pretty yourself. Where's dad?" I asked. "He's getting ready. Should be down in a bit." I smiled happily. You see my dad ios a business man and is always working! So I'm happy he can join us. He calls me his sport or princess. We set the table and as dad came down the bell rang.
"I got it!" My mother said as she got the door. "How's my princess?" My dad asked. "I'm good tho school's a little different." I said remembering about Jason. "This way." I heard my mom speaking to the guests. "We'll talk after." I nodded to what my dad said. In comes the group of three but I froze for what I saw.
In comes this hot guy, he's really tan, buff, short brown hair with a some what messy look and beautiful blue eyes. "Honey this is Jake and his parents. And this is my daughter Jani." He grabbed my hand and kissed it before he spoke. "It's a pleasure to meet you my sweet." He kissed my hand again making me blush like a friggen tomato.
"Pleasure's all mine." I replied causing him to wink making me giggle. The bell rang again and my mom was off. "You can take a seat." I gestured to the table. They headed over there and sat down. My mom came in with five more people and I froze yet again! In comes Jason but he's all dressed nice instead of what he looked like before.
I gulped. This is gonna be interesting. We were staring at each other intensely. I guess my mom saw and spoke up. "Uh this is Jason and his 2 guardians Alex and Johnson with their girlfriends." I nodded, I couldn't speak. I was heading towards the table when I felt breathing near my ear. "I make you speachless." He whispered.
"Behave!" I whispered back. "Don't worry babe I will." He winked and we got to the table. I saw that Jake was seated next to my chair and I felt kinda relieved. He pulled out the chair for me. "My lady." He said as he scooted me in causing me to giggle and blush. I caught Jason glaring at Jake.
Dinner was nice. Jake and I was talking non stop. Jason kept to himself unless he was spoken to and he kept glaring at Jake and I. "Jani honey will you show Jake and Jason around?" I nodded. I got up as well as Jake. I was waiting for Jason but he sat there. My parents already went off somewhere with the others.
"I'm fine right here." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Stop being a baby and come on!" I grabbed his hand. He looked shocked, I tugged and he got up his hand still in mine. He was smirking and this time I saw Jake glare at us. I rolled my eyes, boys! As I was showing them around, Jason wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Jason let go please." I said trying to be nice. "No." He said. "C'mone let go." I said this time a little more demanding. "But I like holding you," He said. "She said let go." Jake snapped at him. I got a bad feeling when Jason let go of me and stalked towards Jake. This isn't gonna be good.
"I can do whatever I want. I don't need some prep boy telling me what to do." Jason said through gritted teeth. "You do when you're disrespecting a girl." Jake said in the same tone. "You don't tell me how to treat a girl! At least I can get one!" Jason spat. "Yeah sure, f--k them and leave em. Some way to treat and keep them." Jake mocked.
Jason brought up his fist but before he could strike my mom called out. "JAKE DEAR YOU HAVE TO LEAVE!" "COMING!" Jake yelled. "We'll finish this later." Jake said to Jason before he left. Jason turned to me with a smirk. "Well shawty it looks like its just you and me."
