"Staring at the photo, the man stood by the cold wall in his house, keeping his hand against it, knowing he couldn't stand without the support. No food had entered his stomach in days, and barely any water entered through his sore, dry lips. Maybe, he was starving himself? Maybe he was trying to leave the living world we walk across? Maybe?
Of course, of course he was.
Why else would he fake a laugh, fake a smile, fake the happiness which is supposed to surround him throughout his life.
Without her, why would he stand and fight to live? A world without her, a world without her was worthless, he, he had begun to realize this, and, he decided to stop fighting to live without the one he loved. The one he wanted to grow old with, the one he wished to forever hold.
The one, the one he lost.
After dragging himself across the floor, causing the dusty carpet to move slightly, he forced his hands around the photo of the woman he loved, his wife, holding it close to his chest.
He wondered, why did she have to go? Why did she have to leave me, him? Why did she have to die?!
Placing the photo on the wood as he slid down the cold, white painted wall, a sigh escaped his mouth.
"The decision has been made." he whispered, eyes locked on a rope located in the corner of the room, and then, his eyes darted towards the window, watching soft, white snow begin to fall.A smile crept up onto his face as the thought of no longer suffering entered his mind. Starving himself, it had seemed, to be taking too long, hanging himself, that, seemed much quicker, and what about, on a day like that? A day where the clouds cried snow, a winter day, one his wife would love, perfect.
Seeing his wife again in the afterlife, after dying on the day him and her would love, perfect.
