The man awoke, getting up as he stared at the place he'd slept, the hard floor, covered in junk, when had he fallen asleep? He couldn't seem to remember- all he remembered was-...

Lifting his head up, his eyes laid on the noose, hanging from the piece of old wood, ripped slightly off the ceiling, and then onto a stool, half broken, and collapsed onto the floor. As he groaned, rubbing the back of his head, he got up, remembering what he had attempted the day before, when he'd just about to put the rope around his neck, the stool he had been standing on collapsed, causing him to fall, head slamming onto the floor, obviously, knocking him out, unconscious.

Reaching for a bottle of coke, he accidentally pushed objects off which were on the table, and after, attempted to catch the falling items, knocking the coke off, the fizzy liquid pouring out, staining the ripped carpet.

No-longer caring, he grabbed the bottle, gulping down what was left, nothing.

As he threw the empty bottle into a bin, his eyes were drawn to the beautiful, white snowflakes, falling from the sky, tears beginning to appear in his eyes.

"Lucy..."

The snow, they drew him closer to suicide, death, she loved the winter, the snowflakes which fell, they just reminded him, over, and over, and over again, she was gone. That he was once again alone in this unfair, hell, called 'life.'

'I have no reason to live' he'd mutter to himself, every, single day, he couldn't live, live without her, beside him.

Grabbing a chair, he put it down near the noose, placing a foot onto it and pulling himself up, and onto it.

Just as he was about to place the rope around his neck, the sound of loud knocking echoed through the house, bounces off the walls and taking control of his hearing.

Who was it?

Just a joke.

That is what he thought.

"Why, would anyone come to see me?" he began, carrying on,

"Just end this, they will go away and leave me in peace."

The knocking continued, louder, beckoning the man to walk towards the sound. It worked.

He groaned, irritated, slamming his fist onto the wall after he'd gotten down. Forcing his feet to work, he walked towards the front door, his right hand placed on the wall, using it as support for himself.

Grabbing the handle of the door, he pulled it with force, opening the door as he shouted,

"WHO THE FU-" he stopped.

He stopped, looking at the person in front of him.

A young girl, she looked about, seven, she had crystal, ice blue eyes and a really light shade of blue hair.

Looking up at him, she tilted her head to the side, she didn't speak, she didn't make a single sound, she,

she

Smiled.
