she made me
she had me
i was a mistake
i was not to be born
at the age of 18
brought home on hallows eve
she left me to fend for my siblings
all on my own
i was lost
forgotten
left to nibble on a chicken bone
then it happened
i saw the light
god called out to me
he sent a rescuer
they came
they locked her away
we left
we were reborn
no more internal scars
that no one could see
if they looked at me
i came and stayed
instead of kept and betrayed
i was adopted 3 years later
by my new family
that loves me
feeds me
and adores me
my new mom
my new dad
my new family
so to the one who mistakenly and irresponsibly gave birth to me
thank you for your mistake
because now i am loved and adored
