My mind returns as the wind suddenly ceases to call. Finally, I realize I've traveled far from the comfort and sanctity of my small hideaway I retreat to and take refuge upon to escape my cruel reality. I begin to panic upon noticing I don't know my path. In my disarray, I feel anxiety grow in my heart and my mind's sanity begins to deplete.
"Odysseia," a deep, serious voice called out monotonously.
Startled, I quickly turn in horror to the figure behind me. He is pure evil..... and I know exactly who he is. I call upon all the strength I have left in me to respond. "Dolos, spirit of deception and trickery," I said, trying my best to seem confident. I take a breath that remained unnoticed and stand my ground, successfully hiding my fear. "What is it that you are planning with me?" I demand. He simply smiles, sending chills down my back. I straighten my stance, reiterating my question "What is it that you are planning with me?".
"The time now has come for you to be claimed. You are the one who was bestowed the gift from the gods, the ability of sight," He says at last.
"Then where is my gifter?" I ask a bit impatiently.
He smiles again "You see dear child," he pauses a moment "I am your gifter." he finished with a sickening smile. I begin to back away in horror. I feel my foot skim water and turn to see a large pond.
"Go ahead, child. Look into the water." he coos. I slowly and hesitantly kneel at the water's edge and peer into the water. I jump to my feet when I see the creature staring back at me. I'm evil?
