Hey wattpader's, This is a new story of mine so thanks to all who's checking it out.

My life as a waitress. . .

Once again I wake up to the sound of the damn alarm clock. Looking at it while trying to fight off the sleep that always seems to be non-existent anymore I finally get my eyes to adjust to notice that it's only half past nine. . . wait past nine. Oh man, I am so going to be late again. Well being late is one thing but being late for the third time this week, is going to be completely hell. But then again that's nothing new.

Finally after taking almost a completely cold shower - which by the way not my fault that the water heater is slow - and pulling on my work shirt and dark jeans while pulling my still wet hair into a ponytail I am running out the door just having enough time to grab my shoes and purse with the keys attached to make down the stairs of my apartment while trying my best to slip my shoes on each foot just in time to make it to the car and off to work.

The drive to work is slow as always cars going under the speed limit and stupid people that can't drive pulling out in fornt of me I sometimes wonder were the heck some of the drivers learned where to drive or maybe they just pick up their license at the Dollar Store or something. One of many jokes between my BFF and I.

Pulling my car into the car lot I put it in park and run straight inside hoping and praying that my boss want notice that I am late again.

But today someone really seems to hate me, because as soon as I slide my card into the time clock I hear that damn annoying voice aka my boss.

"Linna, you are Late Again!"

Slowly sucking in a deep breath I turn around to the devil himself.

"Datten, look, I know. . . but I over slept. . . "

Of course I was cut off by him.

"That is the third time this week that you claim to have 'over slept' do you not want to keep your job? If so I suggest that you show up on time like everyone else."

I was just about to say something that would so get me fired when his cell phone rang which he answered then turned his back towards me walking off to his office.

"I hate him!" I mumbled under my breath.

"Yeah, so do I."

I sigh in relief at the sound of that voice.

"Tracie"

"Linna, where the hell have you been!"

"Well it's kind of a long story."

"What could of possible happened in the past twenty-four hours for you not to answer your phone, and do not give me that crap that you didn't know that I called. Because trust me I called, texted and voice mailed."

"I had to work a double and then. . ."

"Linna. My office now."

"Great the dragon is breathing fire today." I whisper to Tracie while I walk toward the office.

I give a small knock and the door was flung open.

"Did I not say my office now Linna? I do not have time for you to stand at my door waiting for me to tell 'you' to come in."

"Sorry." Hopefully he want notice the sarcasm directed at him.

"Drop the sarcasm Linna I am really not in the mood to deal with your mouth today."

I noticed that he had a certain gleam in his eye while he said this last bit but it was gone just as quick.

"What do you want Datten?"

"I need you to cover tonight we are down two servers and the buss boy just called and quite plus the night shift supervisor just called in sick."

"But can't you get someone else?"

"Why would I do that? As I said before everyone else here can be punctual, why can't you? Lets just look at it as a way for you to make up for being late this past week maybe then you will have learned to be on time."

Datten sat back in his chair and smiled at himself as if knowing that this, pissing me off in which just brought out his smugness.

"I really don't see how you can say that if you have not noticed that not only for the last week but for the last two months I have worked as many double shifts because of this, how is it that now you decide that I should be the one to do it when I have been the only one doing it? How is that fair?"

"It is actually very simple either you work it or you can be fired. Which one will it be Linna?"

Well if I have not mentioned before that I hate this guy let me repeat it I hate Datten Parker he is the biggest ass of man there is and that is really saying something cause let me tell you there is a lot of them but he takes the whole damn cake vote him number one bastared of all time.

"Fine I will work the damn double shift." I say as I start to make my way to the door.

"Language Linna. I do not feel like having the customers complain about you today just because you did not get your own way."

That damn man why oh, why dose he have to piss me off so freaken much!

Dose he always have to find something to have the last word.

One word comes to mind. . . Dragon.

"Yeah whatever you say Datten." And with that I walk out to start my shifts.

All day long people flocked in, they just kept pilling in to no end.

That did not bother me so much as the part that I didn't get a break until well after closing time but for some reason all in all it was a good day. Tips were good as always but what bothered me the most about today is that I did not see Datten anymore besides from the morning in his office.

But why did it bother me?

I shrug it off until everything was done and said goodnight to the bartender who's name I think is Fred? Not sure about that one we go thru a lot of them here so I really don't even bother learning their names half the time.

I was just about to walk out the door when I heard that voice again.

"Linna?"

Hope you liked it this is totally different than what I would normally post.

So what do you think? Like it? hate it? I would love to know what you thought feedback is much needed here!!!! So please take a minute and comment and tell me what you think!! This is important to me, I want to know if I should put up more chapters or not.?. Anyways Happy Readings to all.
