" You are a Gunslinger, and this is what you live for."

Solar light exploded all around me as I fired all three rounds from the Golden Gun at the enemy Titan and jumped back, avoiding an Arc energy filled punch, I fired four more rounds from my Khvostov and continued on towards the sound of more gunfire. Rounding the corner, I saw Tyrk take down a Hunter with his melee, I caught a glimpse of movement above him and shouted for him to take cover as I jumped and rattled off more rifle fire, killing the sneaking Warlock. I wondered where Memphis was, I laughed inside my helmet, knowing full well he'd be in the centre of the fight. He wasn't getting all of the fun.

The crackling boom of a Fist of Havoc ricochetted off the walls of the arena and suddenly I knew where he was. I launched into a dead sprint, Tyrk hot on my heels as we skidded around platforms towards our Titan.

"How is he not down?!" I heard the opposing Hunter shout to a teammate as they opened fire on him.

"'Cause he's Echo!" I shouted back and launched an incendiary grenade at him, grinning when it exploded and took him down.

"Nice shot!" Memphis called out as he finished off the enemy Titan. "Three down, three to go." I could hear the grin in his voice as he lead us through the arena, rifles up.

Shaxx had decided that we would change up the routine, and instead of having our normal Fireteam against Fireteam, we were doing Fireteam eliminations. Two would go against each other, and the next team challenged the winners. The Fireteam with the most wins would win the match. The Crucible Handler had decided to throw two Fireteams against us. I was having fun.

"Movement North-East. Delta Titan." Tyrk pointed with his rifle and sure enough, a Titan stood looking out past us, he hadn't seen us.

"Delta Hunter up ahead." I sighted in on her and let Memphis scan the area for Fireteam Delta's Warlock. He silently pointed North-West and split from the group. Tyrk went towards their Titan and I was left to face off with the Hunter. I could do this. My supercharge had reloaded and my rifle had a full mag.

She spotted me and dived behind a pillar, to which I went the same way, knowing she'd be in cover expecting me to come up the same way I'd been walking. My instincts took over as I came up to her cover, and rounded the corner, drawing my Golden Gun and firing all three into her back. Two left.

I listened, mainly for Memphis' super but instead looked up just in time to see Tyrk firing the entirety of his magazine into the Titan's chest before he fell off his platform, landing with a dull clang on a lower level. He nodded at me and I grinned, spinning on the ball of my foot as I headed in the direction Memphis took.

I heard a shout of anger as I rounded a plinth and saw Memphis being pushed back with rifle fire. Grabbing the back panel of his armour I yanked him into cover and dived over him, tossing a throwing knife in the direction of the Warlock, it missed but it gave me enough time to make sure Memphis was still standing before I charged the enemy with all of my weight behind me and took him down.

Tyrk fired before I had the chance to lift my rifle. Only then did I notice the throwing knife in his fist, so close to my side. Tyrk had saved my ass. I nodded my thanks and got up, moving back towards our Titan to make sure he was okay.

Memphis was slumped against the wall but still conscious. He lifted his head slowly to look at me and only then did I notice the blood trickling out of his chest plate. He hadn't been downed but he'd been hurt. Out of nowhere, I felt an overwhelming urge to take that Warlock down again.
