"hey noah, wait up!" the taller of the two yelled as he walked out of his third period classroom. he quite literally had to yell, hallways are so noisy with the bustle of students and teachers and intercom announcements-in other words, chaos.

the brown haired beauty slowed slightly so he could wait for his friend to catch up. him and finn were friends, right?

"you have lunch now?"  finn asked, although it was more of a statement.

the young boy, who was still in a lot of pain from the events that occurred the night before, gave a small nod in response.

"cool! i thought i had seen you around."

noah smiled, although it was forced and ended up looking more like a grimace.

"wanna sit with me?" the black haired boy asked.

it was a simple question, right? friends sit with each other all the time. but people didnt sit with noah and he didnt want them to. nonetheless, he nodded.

"sweet," the freckle nosed boy pointed to a table with two girls occupying two seats across from each other, "thats sadie and millie. i eat with them, we can get lunch and sit there. is that okay?"

the boy with constellated bruises, unseen to most, stiffened unnoticeably at the word 'lunch'.

finn took no notice and drug the small boy to the lunch and the table.

"millie, sadie, this is noah; an old friend."

the red headed girl with honeysuckle freckles smiled shyly and barely looked up. the short brown haired girl across from her and next to finn giggled and waved before munching on her pickle.

the three friends conversed and joked as noah shrank a little in his seat and nibbled is food, making sure to count the calories as he went.

230.

a little exercise and vomiting could cure the weight gain, although, the small boy still felt uncomfortable with the heavy food sitting in his stomach.

the oblivious boy across from noah took notice of his missing comfort-and thought he knew what it was from, being around new people. but oh, he was ever so wrong-and whispered, "its okay, theyre  nice. they wont drag you down, or cast you out."

the boys exchanged small smiles and finn went back to chatting and noah returned to counting.
