So in honor of you, my readers, for making it go up, I decided to add a little bonus chapter to this two-shot. Doesn't really make it a two-shot anymore does it? *shrugs* Oh well. This is my thanks to you. Please enjoy!!!

P.S- This is dedicated to every single one of you- you who voted, commented, and added this story to your library/reading lists. Thank you so very much for that!!

Winry had been living the dream. Having her long time crush, Edward Elric, confess to her at the same time she did was, in itself, a dream.

I mean, how many times does this happen in reality? she'd ask herself every day. According to her, rarely so she was lucky to have that happen to her when it did.

After their date, life had only gone upward for them. Despite the livid attitudes from the jealous girls, nothing really bothered Winry. Sure it was bothersome to have that target on her back, but she had Ed on her side to keep them at bay. Oh and add in the fact that his younger brother, Alphonse who preferred to be called Al, started going to school there and all the girls left her and Ed alone and preyed on poor, innocent, and very much single Al.

Now, skip forward a couple years. Winry and Ed stood in front of the college campus Winry was going to attend. It stood proudly in the street and students came in and out of the building.

"I'm nervous," Winry told Edward as she faced him with her lips pressed in a tight line. He gave her a cheeky grin and wrapped his arm across her neck and drew her close, placing a kiss on her temple.

"Why? You're the one who applied here and got accepted. Why freak out now? That wasn't what happened when you got the acceptance letter. If I recall correctly, you were jumping around like a maniac with this stupid grin on your face as you screamed in my ear. I literally had to suffer a good ten minutes before I managed to find out what was the source of your excitement," he told her and she pulled back from him with an embarrassed blush on her face.

"It's not my fault Amestris decided to enroll me. This was the college of my dreams! It was the school my parents went at and met," she tried to reason but he shook his head as if not caring.

"Say that to my poor eardrums and splitting headache," he argued and she smacked the back of his head.

"Ow!" he exclaimed and Winry smirked before looking at the towering building in front of her. Her fears were gone and she gave an endearing smile at the boy besides her. She was seriously one lucky girl.

"Thank you," she told him as she entwined her hand with his. He smiled down at her and held her hand tight. It was his goal to relieve her of her unnecessary nerves.

"Ready?" he asked and she took a deep breath before nodding and taking the first step forward.

"That wasn't so bad was it?" he asked and she rolled her eyes. She got the map to the school, her schedule, and her dorm room and building number.

"Of course not," she replied and he chuckled and wrapped his arm across her shoulders. They walked together to her dorm building, causing the girls to look at him and give shy smiles before seeing Winry's glare and looking away. Ed chuckled and she elbowed him.

"Not funny, Edward," she hissed but he still laughed.

"Calm down Winry. I'm not interested when I already got someone incredible by my side," he told her with a wink and she rolled her eyes but the smile twitching at her lips didn't make her annoyance believable for a second.

"Fine," she huffed and he chuckled and kissed her head. "So are you sure you don't want to go to college?" she asked and he sighed.

"I'm sure. I told you. I think I'm going to go and work with my old man for a bit. Keep an eye on him and Al, and get some experience," he explained and she nodded in understanding.

Edward's father returned right during graduation and she didn't think she ever saw Edward that mad. After getting his certificate and all, he got off stage and landed a solid punch to his father's face. Of course, not in the public for all to see.

He demanded why his father decided to show up then. He demanded why he left all those years ago, especially when his and Al's mom died. He demanded why he would even think of showing up then.

Hohenheim had no excuse to give. He didn't apologize either. He simply looked at his son with tears in his eyes before sighing in defeat. Winry didn't stay long enough to watch the rest. All she knew was that that was the man who hurt her boyfriend. But he didn't seem like a bad guy. Confused, but not bad.

"I see. Well, you better visit," she told him as she poked her index finger on his chest. He grinned down at her and gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"You know I will," he told her and she grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down for another kiss. This one was longer and a little more passionate but when they pulled back, both of their eyes were sparkling.

If there was one word to describe their love, it was infinite. Yeah they had their fair share of arguments and fights. Every couple had them. But it showed that the relationship was healthy. No perfect person existed. No perfect couple lived. Everyone had flaws that affected another person and then there were arguments. But it showed it wasn't as bad as assumed because they would always come back and apologize.

And despite all that, even to this day, they remained in love and happy and never had a boring day when together. Both were compatible and outgoing and balanced each other out. When one got out of hand, the other stepped in to calm them down.

"Be ready by seven tonight. In honor of you making it into the school of your dreams, I'm taking you out and we're celebrating with everyone," he told her and she grinned and nodded excitedly.

"I'll be ready. Love you," she told him before she placed one more chaste kiss on his lips before pulling back and climbing up the stairs.

"Love you more!" he called back and she blushed but grinned. She would never tire of hearing that from him. She waved and disappeared inside the building.

Edward grinned as he tucked his hands in his pant pockets. Then he twirled on his heels and walked off. He could definitely get used to that. Hearing Winry say 'I love you' daily that is.

He was thankful she remained silent during high school because if not, he may have missed out on this perfect life. Or as close to perfection as it could get. Life wasn't that fair, come on. But because of that, here they were. Starting a new chapter in their lives. And hopefully, a continuing journey.
