My back is pressed against Dean's as his arms are wrapped around my waist, his head resting on my shoulder as we look down at the drawings in my hands. The drawings on the paper have absolutely no meaning to me, instead looking like the absentminded drawings of someone. Sam looks up from them towards the prohet, "That's your big news, is that you've translated the tablet into doodles?"

"Its cuneiform." Kevin states.

However he takes in the confused looks on all of our faces and decides to elaborate further, "I hit a wall translating the tablet into English. But I found an ancient codex linking the angel script to Proto-Elamite cuneiform, and I was able to translate the tablet and the foot notes into Elamite, which is-"

"Doodles." Dean says, gesturing to the drawings.

"It's extinct." He explains and I tilt my head to the side, "Can you read it?"

"No one can." He says, "Scholars have tried for centuries."

I dump the drawings on the table as Dean sighs, "So it's a dead end?"

"N-Not quite." He says quickly, "Now most Proto-Elamite is abstract, but I was able to decipher one phrase from Metatron's footnotes. 'Falling Angels'."

"Okay, so the footnotes refer to Metatron's spell?" Sam asks and Kevin shrugs, "Maybe."

Sam looks towards the bookshelves in the room and walks over to one, "Okay, well, maybe if we can decipher the footnotes, then we can reverse the spell and-"

"Punt those winged dicks back to heaven." Dean finishes, "Where do we start?"

"Research." He says, handing out four volumes, "Comb through the library, see if we can find anything else on Elamite."

I pull away from Dean and take a seat at the table, the heavy book thudding on the table. I open it up as Dean reluctantly takes a seat beside me, taking in his book, "'Zimmerman's Encyclopedia of Extinct Languages, Volume One: Adai to Atakapa.' How many volumes are there?"

"Twenty four." Kevin states, "Don't worry, we them all."

"Awesome." Dean mutters when suddenly, his phone begins to ring, "There is a God."

I roll my eyes at him as he gets up from the table, "Hello?"

He walks away, talking into the phone quietly while the rest of us begin to read. Soon he hangs up the phone and turns to face us. I glance up from my book and give him a questioning look, "What's up babe?"

Mary is perched on the edge of the table as she plays a hand game with Kevin, which he enthusiastically plays with her. I smile at the sight, it warming my heart when I hear the two brothers arguing as they come into the room.

"So he said nothing about where he is or what he's been doing?" Sam states, speaking of the former angel who left us a few weeks ago. Cas decided to leave so that he wouldn't put us in danger, especially Mary.

"This is Cas." Dean says, a duffel bag over his shoulder as he walks towards us, "In case you forgot, he's not exactly Chatty Cathy."

"And you're not even gonna see him when you're in Idaho?" I ask as he stops beside me. He places a hand on my hip, "Well, like I said, as long as he's catnip for angels, he's keeping his distance."
