A light beamed down on my face and I winced in slight pain. "W-What?" I thought and groaned and slowly opened my eye's. "W-Where am I?" I tried to sit up, But a wave of pain weaved it's way throughout my body. "You're in a safe place, That's where." A Gentle mew from what sounded to be a tom hit my eardrums. "E-Excuse me?" I looked over to where I heard the tom's sweet yet slightly gruff voice came from. "You heard me right... You're in a safe place now." The tom grumbled to me seeming slightly annoyed. "Mind stepping out of the shadow's so I can see you?" I muttered under my breath and tilted my head in slight confusion at exact what was going on, "I just died right? So How exactly am I in a safe place?" I thought to myself, Trying to think of ways I could still be alive, Still on earth. "Fine fine, But you must promise to stop acting like you don't know what I'm saying." The tom yawned and stepped out. He was a light red with dark red patches on his body and the same dark red for the stripes on his legs, Tail and ears, A slightly white patch on his tail and chest, Also a little on his muzzle and in his ears, I couldn't help but stare at the tom. "Erm... You enjoying the view?" He raised an eyebrow and gave me a firm yet gentle stare. "O-Oh! Sorry.. It's just that I have never seen a cat like you before!.." I quickly tried to shake it off and hope he wouldn't think I was some creep who liked staring at people. He sighed and shook his head, Now smirking slightly. "It's alright.. Who are you by the way? Now that you're awake." He walked over to me and sat 4 feet away, His tail curling around his leg's. "Who am I?... Hmm.." I started to dig into my memory's. "My name is... I have no clue really.. umm.. And you are?" I glanced up at him. "Oh.. You have Freckles also.." I muttered as I saw them. "The name's Revaio, Nice to meet you... And ya? So why are you pointing it out?" He lifted a paw and started to groom it. "Just wanted to is all.. Umm.. How am I still alive?" I glanced up at the tom who just kept grooming himself. "Magic.." "Just magic?" "Yep" I raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "Come on stop joking with me!" I yowled. "Calm down, You asked me how you are still alive, I gave you an answer, That simple. " He stood and grunted walking deeper into the cave and walking back carrying a fresh mouse in the clutches of his jaws. "Here." He dropped it in front of me, And walked over to the cave entrance and fixed the vine's hanging in front of it hiding the entrance. "But magic.. It's not possible!" I snort and whine. "Well if it's not possible, How are you still here?" He glanced over at me before getting back to fixing the vine's. "W-Well... Erm.. Stop being a smartass!" I hissed in annoyance. "I'm not being a smartass, Just replying to your questions." He lashed his tail and shook his head in disbelief. "Maybe I should have left you there." He said bluntly. "H-Hey! Now that's going too far!" I said frantically. "No.. Not really, I did not have to save you life in the first place." He walked back over to me and layed down. "Anyway, What exactly happened to you anyway?" He asked in a smooth manner. "What happened to me?..." I muttered and looked at the ground. "W-well..." I tried my hardest to think back to what happened. "Owww.." I rubbed my now aching head. "S-Sorry.. I can't remember..." I whispered as I still kept thinking about it. "Hmm.. Kinda worries me.." Revaio muttered, I could barely hear him over the pulsing of my head. "Why?" I asked laying my head down on what felt to be deer fur, And it smelled like one too. "Oh don't worry about it... I'm sure you'll remember later after some rest." The tom stood and walked deeper into the cave once again, Completely ignoring my question. I snorted. "Won't answer me eh? Well fine then.. I never wanted a answer..." I hissed under my breath as I rolled over my side and glared at the bare walls and grumbled nonsense under my breath.
