Epilogue

One year later...

How do you know when love is real? I ask myself this question so many times but I couldn't answer that question until I looked into my daughters eyes.

Chase's blue eyes stare back at me, my daughter's eyes would haunt me forever. But I never let that stop me from loving her.

Despite her flaw that held a horrible memory for me I was still able to love her. I was the only one that saw her beautiful blue eyes as a flaw.

Her eyes really were beautiful. Believe me, her smile was captivating as well.

My baby girl Azaria Elizabeth Dubois was the love of my life. She was real love.

When I found out I was pregnant I thought it was a horrible mistake and that I needed to get rid of my baby.

I couldn't bear to take an innocent life. It was not in me. I hope she got my good genes and not her father's terrible ones.

Will I ever let her know about her father? Maybe when she's old enough or not.

Wondering how I got pregnant? I was too after I remembered that every time we had sex we were safe.

It was the 'quickie' that changed my life forever and to be total honest I'm happy with the change.

Nessa pulled through and Jahmiel, Everton's son and I along with her mother stood by her side until she recovered. I took a temporary leave from my job just so I could make time for my little angel, friends and family.

I was planning on leaving forever but that would mean that Chase had won. That would mean that other criminals like Chase could do stuff like that and get away with it.

That is not what I stand for. Afterall I am the best. But a break from my job wouldn't kill.

It was good to have people around that love me again. I felt like my life was starting over. Everything felt fresh. Real true love doesn't always come from the man you think you'll get married to and spend the rest of your life with.

It sometimes comes from your friends and family. And that can be one of the greatest blessings in the world.
