Good morning everyone.
I figured it's time to talk about some things, that don't get said enough in this kind of community.
So, when I'm bored, I read fics. Even if they are not a ship I know about, or ship, I like to appreciate the writing that someone put into their work.
I was reading this one persons work, and she stopped her writing to make fun of someone who said her ship wasn't real.
The person had posted on a different social media platform, reminding some rabid shippers that the ship was not cannon. So she decided that it was "attacking the ship" and that the person was speeding hate and negativity.
Personally, I believe the "ship is cannon" when the people in the ship exclusively say, "we are dating, or in a relationship"
The people she was shipping had not said that. Yet, she went out of her way to cyber-bully someone else.
Taken into consideration, many ships are not cannon, and that's okay, they can be headcannon, and still make others happy.
Building off of that, it's time to talk about the phandom.
Yeah.
I do not consider myself part of the fandom, anymore.
Yes, I ship phan.
Nope, I'm not in the phandom.
The phandom honestly, has turned into sort of a toxic place? I'm not sure. It's overwhelming.
There are comments on dan and phil's videos about how they should have sex, be in a relationship. There are videos of "proof that Dan and Phil have f**ked"
People have sent them bondage fan art, and honestly nasty fanfics.
People who post on every single video on YouTube ever "is my phandom here? rawr XD" with another 400 comments underneath.
I don't associate myself with the phandom for these reasons, plus others.
Now, I'm not calling anyone out. Don't take me the wrong way.
Many people that are in the phandom are kind, loving people.
These are my opinions.^^^
Phan is not real
Septitiplier is not real (idk how to spell it?)
Larry or whatever is not real
These are facts, unless proven otherwise^^^^
Unless the people being shipped come out in a relationship, your headcannon remains headcannon.
GO ON, BE FREE. Write your smutty fanfic, share it with the community. Don't send it to dan and Phil's cause that can count as sexual harassment.
