Matt and I were driving. I told him to turn around and go back to Stefan as I thought he was going to die. We were on our way when Rebekah came out of nowhere and ran us off Wickery Bridge. This is where I should've died. We sunk to the bottom of the river and I was struggling to hold my breath. Matt was unconscious. I was starting to worry and a sudden flashback of the time me and my parents were here came rushing at me with a pang. I shook Matt, hoping we could get out of this alive. I had recently came back from the hospital as I had lost a lot of blood from klaus and had had a concussion. Dr. Fell had an obsession with vampire blood and cheated her way into being a good doctor by curing every patient with it. I was never going to make it out alive, but she injected me with Damon Salvatore's blood so now I had vampire blood In my system, I just didn't know about it. Matt was still unconscious and I didn't know what to do as I, myself was drifting away too.
Thankfully, Stefan came to my rescue. He attempted to save me but I said no. Matt needed to be saved. I loved him too much than to let him die. Stefan respected my choice and saved Matt. At that point I drifted away. I'm pretty sure at that point I died. I don't remember any of that.
I woke up with a gasp in the hospital on a cold metal table. I was shocked to see how I was still alive. Later that day, to my horror, I had become the thing I never wanted to be. A vampire. I was terrified, I didn't want to hurt anybody and I was scared. I was safely home and I immediately asked how Matt was. Thankfully he was alive too. I was relieved and let out a grateful sigh. I got changed and Jeremy came to my room. He said "I saw Vicky go through this and she was pretty messed up."
"Yeah well I'm not Vicky." I snapped. In the corner of my eye my lamp was buzzing and it was bugging me. I couldn't concerntrate on anymore of Jeremy's words. All I could think about was the light. As my brother left, I walked over to the light and crushed it with my bare hand. I was stunned with the amount of strength I had obtained. I was starving.
I went downstairs to find Stefan had made me a sandwich. I sat down and took a bite. I choked as the sandpaper like bread itches my throat. The filling tasted like puke and I felt like I was eating dog food. I stopped eating and spoke to Stefan about becoming a vampire.
"Will I have to feed? I know if I don't I'll die but can't I just feed on blood bags?" I asked.
"We'll see how your body reacts because of your doppelgänger blood, it is possible it might reject it." Stefan said calmly.
The sun was shining deeply into my eyes just like the lamp and I felt like I was burning. I shaded my eyes and looked away. Stefan said we would go animal hunting so I wouldn't have to feed.
"Sure. Let's just hope I like bambi blood!" I laughed. This is the type of thing Damon would say but I found it the funniest thing ever. But then I started crying because  i remembered how bambi lost his parents like I did. Stefan held me close and whispered into my hair.
"Everything is going to be okay. Your going to get through this. Everything is just slightly hightened but it'll get easier to control."
I decided then I loved him now more than ever.
