After the Battle

Chapter 13

I arrived in Hogsmeade to find it teaming with familiar faces. I popped  into Honeydukes to grab some Exploding BonBons, Ginny's favourite and when I was at the counter Luna tapped me on the shoulder.

'Hello Harry. Are you nervous?' she asked polietly.

'A little I guess. Why? Oh, hi Neville.' I replied in a confused manner.

'Probably Nargles Harry', Neville joked.

I chuckled, 'So, are you two coming back to Hogwarts next year?'

'Yeah', they bothe chorused in reply.

'Good, Ginny will be so thrilled, Luna', I answered.

'Oh, so are you two together again? You made such a lovely couple.'

'Yeah', I replied, rather reluctantly.

'Harry, I'd better get going but can you tell Ginny to send me an owl so that we can meet up? Mine died last week.'

'Sure', I said and then Luna dissapeared into the crowd. I looked at my watch, realisede the time and then ran to the Hogwarts gates.

When I arrived Hagrid was just locking the gates, on the other side of the gates I could see all of my old teachers along with a few unfamiliar faces. I realised that this must have been the staff meeting that McGonaggol was talking about.

'Late again 'Arry?', Hagrid smiled.

I chuckled before sprinting through the gates to join the other Proffesors. Unfortunately I joined just next to Slughorn; I darted through the crowds trying to escape him but it was too late.

'Harry m'boy', his voice echoed through the crowd. Several teachers turned to look at me, 'What on earth are you doing here?' He asked me, somwhat suspiciously.

'I'm sure McGonaggal will explain everythiing in due couurse Proffesor.' I could tell that this was going to be a long day. Proffesor Flitwick smiled at me and mouthed, 'as a teacher it would be acceptable to perform a hex, as a demonstration of course'. I grinned at him and Proffesor sprout came up next to me and started to talk about this year's mandrakes. I  could tell that not much was going to change, with me being a proffesor.
