POV: Dani
Timeline: After Cole and Dani return home from France, before the kidnapping
I peek my head in the office, no Cole or Jorden. Where could they be? I stand and ponder in the hallway before making my way down the stairs to the Beta floor. Music can be heard coming through the speakers connected to Jorden's stereo. I tip toe my way to Jorden's bedroom dooring before swinging it open quietly.
"LET IT GOOOO" Jorden sings. "SHIT!" Cole yells seeing me laughing in the doorway. Cole turns off the speakers and shoves Jorden off the bed.
"Hi Dani." He waves awkwardly. Jorden laughs, "Busted." He playfully teases. Cole turns to his friend and growls.
I laugh as the pair start wrestling on the floor. "You know Cole," I start to say, halting their match, "You have a pretty good voice." Cole turn's beat red and Jorden hoots and hollers in laughter.
"I think you damaged his pride." Jorden states. I roll my eyes at the clown and turn back to my mate. "Sing something else." Cole shakes his head. "Please." I urge. Jorden goes silent. Did I do something?
Cole looks down before looking back up. He clears his throat once before closing his eyes.

Cole opens his eyes. "I love you." I say walking over and hugging him.
Just like always, Jorden ruins the moment, "Damn." He mumbles. "I didn't see that coming."
Cole grunts in his friend's direction and continues to hug me back.
"I'm not that scarred by my father." He responds. Only I can see, the look in his eyes states otherwise.
