Mari POV

I went into the kitchen to see what food I had. After picking through the fridge and discarding some items that had gone bad in my absence, I decided I could go without shopping for at least a day or two.

Loki had made himself at home on the couch and watched me as I made my way around the opposite room. I soon was sitting at my desk in the living room, ready to do some work when Loki came up behind me.

"What are you doing?" He asked as I started up the computer.

"I'm about to do some work. I've got to pay for food some how."

"What do you do?"

"I answer complicated problems and questions for money on the internet. Also secret service officials and police can email me their problems and I give them help, then they send me cash in the mail." I told him, logging into my computer account.

"So you solve other people's problems and then charge them for your services?"

"Yep. I work a bit each time I visit and keep my fortune high. I have always given advice in exchange for payment to thrive here, so I have a good amount of money saved up."

I worked until five in the afternoon; answering emails and entering answers into ask websites. Loki spent most of that time lying on the couch and napping. I was pretty sure he didn't get much sleep last night and had worried more than he had let on this morning.

Loki was now looking through my collection of movies and TV shows that sat on a book shelf near the TV that sat across from the couch. I had explained earlier what a movie was and told him that we could watch one after dinner.

I pulled out a bag of frozen pot stickers out of the freezer and began making supper.

"Are you picking out something to watch?" I asked as I removed the pot stickers from the pan on the stove.

"I don't know... What do you suggest?"

"Well, we could watch any of my many Disney movies, but they are supposed to be children's movies so you may not be interested. Then there's Doctor Who which you might enjoy. Or you might like Sherlock which is about a detective that solves complicated crimes."

I set the two dishes on the island and began preparing drinks.

"How about this one?" He asked, holding up a DVD for me to see.

"Oh! Lilo & Stitch! That's a classic. It's about an alien fugitive that escapes to earth and becomes best friends with a little girl. I think you would relate to some of it."

After eating and putting the dishes away I started up the movie. Loki and I sat side by side on the couch, but by the time Stitch had been adopted I was lying on the couch with my head opposite Loki.

Loki really enjoyed Lilo & Stitch and I could tell he really connected with Stitch. Though he wouldn't admit it, I think he really related to him in a lot of ways.

When it was over, I put in Leroy & Stitch (one of the sequels to Lilo & Stitch) and laid back down. This time, Loki beckoned me to lay with my head in his lap. I was starting to get tired and him softly playing with my hair wasn't helping much.

I must have fallen asleep, because the last thing I remembered was a cute little yellow alien that made sandwiches.

~!~

My eyes lazily opened as I returned to consciousness. I was in my bed and a faint light was coming through the window. Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes.

Loki must have carried me to bed after falling asleep on his lap, but he was nowhere in sight now. I sat up and looked to the clock on my bedside table.

7:00am

I groaned and flopped back onto my back to stare at the ceiling. I shut my eyes tight and hoped sleep would take me again. I was quickly interrupted when I heard the door to the hall open.

"I thought I heard a groan. Good morning, Love!"

His slight British accent caused me to smile a bit as I turned on my side and watched him walk in. He was in a simple dark grey t-shirt and beige Khakis. I don't know how he's able to change his wardrobe, but I was quite happy with the outcome.

"What where you doing?" I asked, propping myself on one elbow.

"Reading. Your collection is quite extrordinary." Loki sat on the edge of the bed beside me.

"Yeah..." I covered my mouth as I yawned.

"Well, get up and get dressed. I want you to show me your favorite Disney movie today."

"Now why is that?" I asked, resting my head back on the pillow and pulling the sheets up to my chin.

"Well, now I believe that Disney is a good brand, I want to see the ones you think are the best." He reminded me of a calm kid on Christmas, waking his parents.

"Fine. I'll be down in a bit." I told him.

Loki gave me a smile and left me alone in my room, closing the door behind him. I sluggishly got out of bed and went to the closet to pick my clothes. I decided on a gray t-shirt with a sketch of Mickey Mouse on it with a pair of black yoga pants. After changing, I brushed my hair and grabbed a pair of socks to put on.

Loki had been progressively getting back to the boy I used to know over the past week or so, and seemed to have started getting past his guilt about what he'd done. He seemed a lot more at peace around me, but around Thor or anyone else, he would tense back up. It made me happy that things were going so well.

I went downstairs and found Loki in the TV room looking through the movies again.

"So which one should we watch first?" He asked without turning around.

"I think Beauty and the Beast; it's one of my favorites." I answered, starting to make myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast. "Have you eaten yet?"

"Yes." Loki had grabbed the DVD and was putting it in the player.

"When did you learn to use the DVD player?" I asked as I poured myself a glass of milk.

"After you fell asleep." He gave me smirk and sat back on the couch.

I sat on the opposite end with my little breakfast and ate as we watched.

Before long, I had finished and was under Loki's arm. Through the movie he was oddly quiet and didn't portray much emotion.  He seemed to be so wrapped up in the story.

Loki POV

Mari was right about the movie last night. I did connect to the Stitch character, but that didn't bother me. What was bothering me now was how I was starting to see aspects of me in this Beast character. There was no way that he deserved the love Belle was developing for him and yet he was slowly changing into a better man.

During the movie, Mari couldn't help but sing along to nearly every song, but I didn't mind. She had an amazing voice and she knew it. She had the sort of singing skill that allowed her to take on the style and sound of the different musicians.

Mari POV

We were at the part where Beast and Gaston are on the roof fighting when the door bell rang. Both Loki and I jumped a little at the sound. Quickly pausing the DVD, I ran to the door. Loki was walking hesitantly up behind me as I unlocked the door and reached for the doorknob.

I glanced over my shoulder at him and gave him a nervous smile. I knew who was going to be on the other side and I wasn't too happy about it.
