Dark Morning

"Honey! Time to go to bed!"

"Ok mommy!"

Cameron gets up and walks upstairs with his mom, his vision blurry.

"Alright sweety, want to watch a movie or read?"

"Read!!"

"*chuckle* Alright, get in your pajamas then we'll read."

"Well shew shew! I can't get in my pajamas with you in here!"

"*chuckle* Alright honey."

She walks out. Cameron gets into his pajamas and yawns.

"Alright mommy..."

She comes back in with a warm smile, she grabs the Hunger Games off his bedside table. Cameron hops in bed and gets under the blankets, she lays next to him.

"Now, where did we leave off?"

"..."

"Honey?" She looks over at Cameron who was already asleep with a quiet snore. "*chuckle* Goodnight sunshine." She kisses his forhead. "Sweet dreams." She gets up and turns off the light. She walks out and closes the door behind her.

~~~~The Next Morning~~~~

Cameron wakes up, everything is black.

"Mommy?" He asks. He looks around, everything was still black, dark, he couldnt see anything. "M-mommy?" He gets out of bed and feels for the lamp, he finds it and turns it on, everything is still dark, black, theres nothing. "M-Mommy?!" He screams. Sarah rushes upstairs.

"Whats wrong?!" She asks with worry.

"I-I can't see!" Sarah covers her mouth.

"I-Its ok sweety!" She rushes over to Cameron and grabs his hand. "I'm right here."

"Wh-why can't I see you?!"

"Hey, calm down, its ok Cameron..."

"M-M-Mommy! I wanna see!" Sarah hugs Cameron.

"It's ok sweetheart...You're gonna be ok...Everythings gonna be fine..."

"P-promise?"

"Promise..."
