Fight For Whats Right

It was after school, finally. Cameron was waiting outside day dreaming about trees, flowers, basically nature. It was sunny, warm, a nice day, Cameron liked days like these, he liked feeling the sun against his face. He snapped back into reality when he heard a shout.

"Hey 'Blind Boy'!" Says a kid.

'Here we go again...' Thinks Cameron. Cameron get ready for a punch.

"Whatcha doin'?" The kid teases.

"Standing." Cameron says. "Isn't that obvious? I mean, I see why you asked, I mean, I'm kinda multitasking." The kid just stares at Cameron.

"Wha..."

"I mean, I'm breathing, hearing, standing, sadly not seeing but we can't all get what we want!" Cameron smiles.

"Psh, whatever you jerk."

"Me? A jerk? Now, lets not go too crazy, only one of us is teasing the other." Cameron mentally slaps himself.

'I'm sooooo dead.' Thinks Cameron.

"Excuse me?!" Asks the kid with slight irritation in his voice, anger flooded the voice that rang in Camerons ear.

"Uh...Buh bye?" Cameron tries his best to slip away but the kid grabs the neck of Camerons shirt.

"You're not going ANYWHERE."

"May I please go?"

"Ha!"

"Wh-whats so funny?" Cameron braces himself for a hard punch. The kid swings his fist at Cameron only to be stopped by someone grabbing his wrist.

"Just a question..." Says the kid who grabbed the other kids wrist. Cameron knew who it was, Hunter.

"Where is he coming from?! What? How should I know, I'm blind." Thinks Cameron.

"What did Cameron ever do to you?" Asks Hunter.

"I..." says the kid.

"Thats what I thought, so do me a favor and scram you little jerk." The kid rushes off. Hunter looks at Cameron. "You alright kid?"

"Y-yeah..." Says Cameron.

"You're lucky I saw you guys, if I didn't come rescue you, you would have a bloody nose and possibly a black eye." Cameron nods.

"Th-thanks."

"No problem kid."

"Stop calling me kid, we're the same age you know."

"But you look like a kid-"

"Did you come here to tease me to help me? Cause right now it seems like you're teasing me, bud." Hunter chuckles.

"Sorry."

"Its fine..." Cameron sighs. "Uh, do you see a red truck anywhere?"

"Red...truck?" Hunter tilts his head slightly. "Why you ask?"

"My moms picking me up and...I uh, kinda can't see if shes here or not."

"What does your mom look like?"

"Basically a girl version of me except with brown hair." Hunter looks around and spots a red truck with a lady that fits Camerons description.

"Wow, you do look alot like her."

"Yeah, ok, uh...can you help me over there? I don't wanna take the risk of almost getting punched again."

"Sure." Hunter holds out his hand while Cameron just stands there."Right." Hunter grabs Camerons wrist and they starts walking.

"Uh, Hunter?"

"Yeah?" Hunter looks at Cameron.

"Why did you stand up for me?"

"..."

"Hunter?"

"Eh, why not? You gotta fight for whats right ya know?" Cameron nods.

"I guess so..." They get to the car and Cameron thanks Hunter and gets in, his mom smiling as wide as possible.

"Eeh!!" She squeals.

"Ow! M-mom! I'm already blind! Can you do me a favor and not make me def too?!" Cameron says his voice a little louder then usually.

"I'm sorry!" She laughs.

"Whats so funny?"

"Nothing."

"Mom, you're acting like a teenage girl right now, obviously its not nothing." She laughs again. "Mom you're being creepy."

"So, who's your friend?"

"Friend? Are you talking about Hunter? He's not my friend, he's just some jerk wad who decided to stand up for me."

"And help you to the car."

"And complimented me on my singing...Ahg! Mom!" Sarah laughs again. "You're messing with my brain!"

"So, he stood up for you?"

"Yeah?"

"Thats sweet."

"He said fight for whats right...uh, what does he exactly mean?"

"Fight for whats right sweety." Cameron shrugs and starts to day dream again.
