A/N: Not exactly a Minecraft one shot, but I've had this idea FOREVER.
I was left to my own devices. Many days fell away with nothing to show.
He stood around the burning, abandoned remains of Woodbury. He had been left his own work. Many days had passed and he had nothing to show at all. Who would ever call him leader again?
And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love. Great clouds roll over the hills, brinigng darkness from above.
The walls kept burning and crumbling apart in the city he once saved and cared for. Great smokey clouds rolled in the sky above him. Darkness fell upon Woodbury.
But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all? And if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like you've been here before? How am I gonna be an optimist about this? How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
The Governor closed his eyes and it felt as if he was still here with his Zombie daughter, Penny. Andrea could be here, too. Martinez, Shuppert, all of his men. It felt as if he had been here before all of it went to hell.
How was he going to be optimistic about this?
We were caught up and lost in all of our vices. In your pose as the dust, settles around us.
They had been caught up and lost in their vices. The Governor stood, looking around with his one good eye, as the dust settled around his feet.
And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love. Great clouds roll over the hills, brinigng darkness from above.
More and more of the walls crumbled and fell. More and more smoke filled the already chokingly clouded sky.
But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all? And if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like you've been here before? How am I gonna be an optimist about this? How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
Closing his eyes again, he could still feel as if nothing had ever changed, as if everything was alright. He put himself back in the place he had been in before. How was he ever going to be optimistic and a rolemodel again after this?
Oh, where do we begin? The rubble or our sins? Oh, where do we begin? The rubble or our sins?
Where would he begin? The rubble of Woodbury, or his sins?
And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love. Great clouds roll over the hills, brinigng darkness from above.
Woodbury finally completely crumpled to the grouns, the last puffs of smoke and ash floating into the sky.
But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all? And if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like you've been here before? How am I gonna be an optimist about this? How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
If you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
He closed his eyes one last time and again, nothing had changed. As soon as he opened his blue eyes, he remembered where he stood.
With each step he took away from Woodbury's ruins, he whistled the tune he had used to call Andrea back to him.
He chose to take care of his sins first.
