The constant bloody flashes and questions by the paparazzi was never something, and probably something I would never, get used to. I swear, they popped out of nowhere, catching you at awkward moments, and seem to always tell riveting stories - that never actually happened. I guess private life is what you have to sacrifice for being a famous singer.
One year ago, I was "discovered" by recording agencies when a few of my mates took me out to a local club for my birthday, and a video of me singing kareoke was recorded and posted on the internet, instantly gaining popularity by the minute. When I heard about it, I was so shocked that I started screaming so loud my parents thought I was ill. After telling them, they started to scream as well, jumping alongside of me.
Today, I've been recording and writing my own songs for a while, and have just finished my first CD which has become a major hit not only in England but internationally as well remarkably.
My name is Kallysta Richards, and before I become such a "pop star", I lived in basically Hicksville, Northern England. My parents owned a fairly large farm, with many horses and cows with pastures for grazing. My dream, the "realistic" one I had, was to become a doctor or surgeon, as I was "exceptionally intelligent" in the biology and science field. However, after the video was posted, that dream went away indefinitely.
"Kallysta! You were wonderful darling!" My manager, Sam, said, as I stepped off the stage and into the backstage area, after the last song of the concert. I wiped the excess sweat off of my forehead, and drank some water. Today, I had done another sold-out concert at a medium sized venue, in Chelsea.
"Thanks" I said, almost breathless after the last note I had belted for the final song. I was quickly handed a moist towelette and some fresh, comfier clothes to change into.
After autographing some souvenirs for the fans, which always gave me a smile, I was driven back to my apartment. My apartment was a one floor, fairly large flat with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, an amazing kitchen, living room, and den. I loved my flat; although it was considered small to the other celebrities who had mega-mansions as houses, I thought it was perfect as I didn't need a mega mansion when I was rarely home because of all the traveling. My life was to hectic to have a permanent large residence.
My doorbell rang, an hour or so after I came back home. I had changed into some casual sweats as it was pretty late, but I was still hyped up on the adrenaline rush from the show to go to sleep. I had been on my facebook, looking at some of the pictures fans had posted online from tonight.
"Hello?" I asked, as went over to the door.
"Hello baby, I thought you might want some food" Max said, holding up two large bags of chinese food. Behind him were Tom, Nathan, Jay and Sivia. You might recognize those names as they are the band "The Wanted", the guys who sing "Glad You Came". I always smiled whenever the song is played because Max wrote it for me, after we first met at a party. As implied, we are currently dating, and have been for about two-three months now. The boys had become some of my best friends, and dating Max wasn't as hard as I thought it would be as we both understood that our schedules were so crazy and ever changing that the other should never be upset if we cancelled last minute or we wouldn't see each other for a few weeks at a time.
"Oh, you are the best" I said, holding his face in my hands for a second to peck him on the lips. I then took the chinese food from him, and let them into the apartment, giving the rest of the boys a kiss on the cheek.
"How was the concert?" Tom asked, as we had opened all of the different dishes of chinese food, sharing all of them while eating on the couch and lounge furniture in the den. I shrugged my shoulders, and ate another bite of food.
