As Riku was being treated I was listening to my favorite music while waiting in the lobby with Inkrie, Inkrie was on her phone doing who knows what. But that doesn't matter right now, rain droplets begin to fall outside and it sounds so soothing in the background of my music.
I take off my headphones and look out the window, I could hear the raindrops against the window frame. I got up and looked out, Inklings running for cover as the streets of Inkopolis Square begin to become wet with every raindrop. I put my hands on the window and feel the cold air begin to rush in, it felt so good. The rain felt so calming and safe, for the first time I felt as if my troubles were melting away...I was beginning to relax.
Inkrie looks up and asks "Would you like to take a peek at the rain?" I reply "I'm already seeing it." Inkrie laughs "No Silver, I mean do you want to go out in the rain?" I look back "Hmm, only if I can bring an umbrella." Inkrie nods "Will do." Inkrie walks to the front desk and asks if we could borrow an umbrella, the front desk inkling replied "Well of course, one second please." she walks to the door behind the desk and grabs an umbrella from the bucket in front of the door. "Here you go." she gives the umbrella to Inkrie "Thank you!" Inkrie turns around and hands me the umbrella and says "Ready to go?" I reply "Go where?" Inkrie smiles "Let's just stick with the hospital entrance, I'm not wanting to go too far."
We head towards the front door and I un strap the umbrella, I open the door as I quickly open the umbrella to prevent rain getting in. I walk outside, my moto boots splashing in the puddles of water as I was making my way to a bench outside. I sat down and looked up, the rain was falling at the perfect speed and angle. I reached my hand out and a water droplet falls onto my index finger, it tickles a little but it feels nice to know what rain feels like. Inkrie was sitting next to me under the umbrella, the bench wet with water.
Meanwhile, Riku wakes up in her hospital bed. She looks out the window and sees the rain, "Brother...where are you?"
