The plane ride was horrible.
Absolutely terrible. I mean, what kind of flight attendant moves you out of a seat just because of another passenger, who I state;
Was not ill
Was not an elderly
And was not out of discomfort, which I might add, all the seats were quite comfortable.
It was all because this passenger, let's name her Shelby, didn't like how I was reclining my chair back, which, if I do say so myself, I had every right to recline my seat.
Impossible.
Anyways, I guess it wasn't all that bad, as it was only a three hour flight, from New York to Florida. Speaking of Florida, actually, the reason why I'm here is because of some certain issues I've had back at New York, just the school mainly, I mean, I had friends, just a small group, but one of them back-stabbed me and I guess things didn't go down all that great. So, what better than to move to a place 3 hours away and try to start afresh. At first I didn't want to move, as I said, I did have a select group of friends whom I trusted and plus, I could deal with bullying for one more year, just senior year.
I even begged my parents to let me stay, but they said it'd be good to, and I quote, "Experience the world, it's good for you". I mean, seriously, three hours away from New York, what difference will it be?

He was taking forever. Legit, forever.
My plane had arrived in Florida for about an hour already and my brother, Ivan was still 'coming', which was what he told me. I don't even remember agreeing to letting him pick me up. If it wasn't for my parents and their over-protectiveness, I would probably be in my new apartment, already unpacking. But no, Ivan just had to over-sleep and 'accidentally misplace' his car keys.
Unbelievable. What a great start this so called 'experience new things' adventure is turning out to be.
Thanks mom and dad.
"Isla! Here!" I saw Ivan wave and call me from a distance, and with a frown on my face, I walked towards him.
"You were so late, what took you so long?" I asked.
"Sorry baby sis, I crashed the night at my friend's place and sort of left my keys there, so it took longer than expected to get here. I missed you." He explained, with a small smile lingering at his last word.
I rolled my eyes and gave him the smallest smile I could render. "Yeah sure, I missed you too"
I was still angry, maybe not so much because of Ivan, but just everything that has happened to me in just one day.
Ivan led me to his car and drove peacefully back to his apartment. It was silent, but just the way I liked it. A comfortable silence, a silence which made me think. As the move was quite sudden, I barely had time to say farewell to my friends, I was definitely going to miss them.
