i saw jackson again at the library. he was sitting alone with his earphones in so i decided to join him. he looked surprised when he saw me taking the seat across from him. i asked him if the seat was taken and he shook his head and told me to sit.
he took out his earphones, i knew he wanted to make a conversation but he just didn't know what to say. so i started it.
"so how's college for you?" and the conversation went on from there. we talked about different things about college then it fell silent.
"hey is carina okay? i've seen her on campus a few times but she always looks so upset? i don't know her head is always down i tried talking to her but she didn't really respond." i didn't want to tell him about yongguk since it wasn't my place to tell. carina would kill me for telling she made me promise to tell. but how long before she really got hurt?
i didn't tell him. carina trusted me too much not to. also i didn't even know jackson well enough to trust him with another persons secret.
after spending a few hours at the library i got his number. i was surprised when he asked. he tried to make an excuse. "in case i want to visit your restaurant in the future." which was very far.
i made my way back to the dorm praying yongguk wouldn't be there. i walked in and saw carina's bed empty. i sighed and pulled my phone to dial her number. it went straight to voicemail.
