I was running, I could only see the blur of the different buildings that I was passing. My feet flying off the pavement. I looked behind me and saw them rushing toward me with full force, and I had no control. I tripped on my thoughts. I tried to crawl away, but I was stuck on something. I couldn't see what it was, but I couldn't get up. I could see the beasts come closer and closer. Their scars and hideous nature became more apparent the closer they got. Something seemed off, their appearances didn't seem to stay the same for more than a few seconds. Acid spewing from their mouths and hurting me every time they opened it. They got so close that I could feel their molten breath on my skin I couldn't move anything anymore. Once one of them touched me I felt my brain fog up and my body tensed up. I had no control over anything, I was fully conscious but I couldn't control myself or anything.
The further they carried me, the worse it got. I started hearing things, "no one likes you," said one voice. "You shouldn't even be alive." Said another, I wanted to cry but I couldn't. I couldn't cry. My body got tighter the more the voices talked. "no one would miss you," "you don't deserve anything." I couldn't feel anything anymore. I just didn't care, I couldn't feel joy or fear or remorse I just felt numb. "At least you're not feeling the pain anymore." I thought to myself.
I look at the ground, the beast is walking fast but I could still see the details in the ground. The cracks and blades of grass that is somehow able to live in between pavement. They could live even though people have tried to get rid of them and the pavement is making hard for them to be alive. They kept on going no matter what. The beasts brought me to a dark, decrepit building. The beasts creak open the dark, heavy door. The hallway was cracked and goo hanging from the ceiling in the darkened hallway. I couldn't see past a foot in front of me. The farther we got in the building, the more broken down the hallways became. Ceilings falling, cracks going down the entire wall and even more of the goo.
We finally stopped at one location, one of the beasts knocked on the wall and the wall opened. The room was pretty barren. There was one a chair, it was a normal chair. There was nothing special about it the room was barely big enough for the two beasts and me. The beast that was carrying set me down on the floor. I didn't know what to do, so I didn't move. The wall opened on my right, a human came out, he seemed normal. He walked up to my head, his leather boots just a few inches from my head. "is this her?" he asked his gravelly voice like nails. The beasts grunted, he leaned down so I could look at his face "well little missy, you seem a little wrong, but we can change that," he said with a creepy grin.
He pulled me up by the arms and placed me on the chair, I could see the details in it now. I could see the vibrant red color, it was just like any chair you could find in any classroom. I couldn't move. He placed his hand on my chair, I could feel my heart racing and sweat starting to form on my forehead. He pulled his eerie smile, letting his not so human teeth shine. It made the voices go again, saying the same things, "you don't deserve anyone" "no one will ever love you." He could see my pain. He smiled again. He pulled my arm up and touched my wrist, and stroked it. Pain filling my brain, but making the voices stop.
It made me feel nice, for the first time in a while. It made the pain in my body bearable. Then I noticed something, my wrist was turning purple. The more he stroked my wrist the more purple it became. I was starting to feel light headed, then the whole world went black. I couldn't see, I couldn't feel, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't do anything. Everything was black, but then I saw something but it was blurry. It started to clear up, I saw the blade of grass in the cement in my mind. I tried to touch it and it disappeared once I made contact. I could breathe, I could move my fingers, then my whole hand and wrist. I opened my eyes and I could finally see. I saw a girl.
She was beautiful, she had long blue hair and skin the color of gold. I looked around me, the room looked the same, except the man and the beasts were unconscious right by my feet. I looked up and the girl was smiling and, I don't know why, but I smiled back.
