Even worse

Why didn't I change into my normal clothes before I left? I'm such an idiot. Kageyama motioned for Hinata to stop so he could take off his kneepads. He shoved them into his backpack and continuted on walking.

"Soooooo Kageyama, meat buns from Ukai's?" He practically bounced when he walked which, seemed odd since he had had no energy before they left.

"If that's what you want then yeah. I'm not gonna stop you." Geez, it was the kids birthday and he needed to ask if what he wanted to do was acceptable. If he wants something he should just do it. He looked down a little and saw that Hinata looked calmer than before. It was his Birthday, he should show generosity. He felt his wallet in his back pocket and said "I'll pay."

"Really?! Can I get a lot of meat buns? Like, as many as I want???" Hinata shone. He looked like the sun. Literally. His hair was dry now, but it wasn't styled so it kinda just looked like an awkward fuzzy thing. "I'll pay you back someday, promise" he put his hand on his chest and said it with trust. Just like he did when Hinata lost to Kageyama's team in Junior High.

"It's you're Birthday, let me be nice for once." Kageyama smiled. Shit, he's gonna think I'm scary again, or plotting something.

"woah.....so....pretty" Hinata said without thinking.

He grabbed his phone and looked at himself, instead of creepy, he had a nice, friendly smile. He had to admit he looked kinda nice but how could he just say that?  He gulped and cleared his throat as he put his phone away. "We're almost there." Hinata looked down the street and saw the familiar sign of their coaches shop.

"Aw yeaaaah, score!" Hinata said running off. Seriously, how did this kid have so much energy? How could he just forget what just happened not even 10 seconds ago? Oh well.

Kageyama finally caught up to Hinata who was standing outside the door, waiting for him. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go inside" he said as he shooed Hinata through the door.

"Oi, Hinata, Kageyama, sup" Ukai greeted them as they entered. "No school today?" he said as he put down his newspaper.

"nope" they both said in unison. Kageyama walked towards the counter as Hinata followed him.

"Can I have a pork bun? 2 please." Kageyama grabbed his wallet and beckoned Hinata to get his food.

"Hmm, 4 pork buns please!" Hinata smiled at Kageyama as Ukai went to grab their food out of a steamer.

"How much?" Kageyama said, wanting to get out the money early.

"668 yen, no tax" Ukai said as he came back with the pork buns. Kageyama took out the exact payment and gave it to Ukai. "Now get on home and eat a proper lunch!" he shooed them both out of the shop.

"Thank you for the meal" Hinata said before plunging into one of his 4 pork buns. Man that kid could eat. 2 bites and he was already halfway done with the first one. Kageyama took time in eating because he didn't want to choke and die. Now that would be a way to go, choking and dying on a pork bun. They were walking uphill now. They didn't even have a destination. But they were walking.

"Hey dumbass, wanna come to my house?" he bit into his pork bun and resumed his sentence. "I have movies and games, we could play, unless you have something planned with your Mom and sister." he suggested. He say Hinata swallow his last bite really hard as he shone, again.

"Heck yeah, let's go, I'll beat you in any game. And for the movie, anything except scary movies. I hate them" he shuddered and looked back at Kageyama. "Lead the way!"

"Just don't make a mess, I live alone and I don't want you messing up my stuff." It wasn't a big deal right? He lives alone, his parents died and then his aunt rejected him. All she did was pay for his house and sent him money every month to keep him alive.
