I'm Here For You - An Undertale Alphdyne Story (Undyne X Alphys)

Prologue

Waterfall was quiet, like it usually was. The bioluminescent mushrooms glowed a bright cyan, illuminating the vicinity. The sound of rushing water could be heard, always heard, true to the name of the area.

Alphys gazed into the bottomless abyss for the third time that week. She had been struggling with her experiments, struggling with the truth. She liked to do this, to stare into the endless void and have it stare back into her. It was, strangely calming. She sighed, she was starting to feel a little sleepy.

"Hey, whatcha lookin' at?" A voice rang out beside her. Alphys jumped in her spot and looked at the stranger. "U-uh nothing much! W-w-who are you?" She stuttered. The stranger smiled, rows of sharp teeth glinting in the faint light. "I'm Undyne, the new Captain of the Royal Guard!"

"So, do you come here often?" Undyne asked. Alphys nodded. "I-i like to spend time here, to calm my thoughts. It's quite relaxing actually." Alphys then looked up. "Oh! I-i'm so sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Alphys. The R-Royal Scientist." Undyne smiled. "Nice." Undyne went on about herself, how she became part of the Royal Guard, her training with Gerson and Asgore, her training other soldiers and the like.

    "Hey, so.. this looks like it drops down forever huh? I wonder where it goes?"Undyne asked. Alphys found the chance to talk. "Ah! Y-you see, I was just hypothesising that myself." "Really?" Undyne replied. "Well, these are just some of my theories... um, it's still a mystery as to how far the abyss really goes or if all this trash is accumulating down there. All this trash that falls into it, it'll probably never be seen again."

    "W-which isn't a bad thing of c-course... Nobody's ever gonna miss trash. I-It's better off down there.

The two went on for hours and not long after, a friendship blossomed forth like Echo Flowers near a river. From then on, their SOULs would be forever entwined.
