Isabel was inpatiently tapping her foot on the ground, earning a quite unhappy glance from the girl sitting next to her. She still had 30 minutes left of this class and every one of them seemed to go by slower and slower. The teacher was talking about renaissance paintings and to be fair he seemed to be just as bored about this topic as Isabel was. 'He must have done this talk about a thousand times' she thought as she glanced her soft brown eyes at the teacher, feeling a little bit bad for him.

It's not that she didn't like art. It was her passion. The making part of it at least, but studying about the history of it sometimes really went on her nerves. 'What is up with those babies for gods sake.' She couldn't help but chuckle when the slide on the projector changed, showing a painting with a baby who had the face of a 40 years old man. This seemed to make the girl on her left a bit mad again, this time the angry glance was followed with a hushing sound. 'She won't sit down next to me ever again for sure.' Isabel smiled to herself softly.

"As you can see, they always painted Jesus looking like a middle aged man. It was because the Bible says he was born...." The professor continued on with his lecture, while Isa's eyes continued following the arms on the clock above the door. Still 15 minutes left.

She gathered some strenght and with a deep sigh she picked up her purple pen to take notes. She bought it just for this class hoping that the happy colored ink would make writing never ending pages (about things she only studied because she had to) a little bit more fun.

Her dark eyes instantly got brighter when the clock's arm rested on 11. She pulled her bag up from the ground and threw her things inside with a few quick movements, before placing the strap on her shoulder. She slightly scrunched her nose up in pain as the heavy bag pulled a few strands of her dark brown hair out. She held her big folder under her arm and in only a few minutes, she was already in search for the car's key as her car came in sight. Isabel threw all her stuff on the backseat before climbing in the almost unbearably hot vehicule. She arrived a bit late this morning and all the spots covered by shade were already taken, giving her no other choice than to park in the middle of the lot, nowhere near any trees, in the bright sunlight.

She drove off with the windows rolled down, because her car didn't have an AC, which is kind of a huge mistake when you live in Arizona.
The university was somewhat close to her small apartment, she was home by 12, even including a quick stop at a grocery shop to pick up a few things.

Isabel didn't have a normal job, the way she earned her money was with doing art orders, requests. The half done painting of a landscape that someone wanted was looking back at her intiminatingly with the reference photo stuck right next to it. She found it so cliché, she never liked when people told her what to make, but doing this was still better than having a strict job with working hours beside school. And sometimes she got quite good money for her works.

The dead line to finish this one was only in a few days, she has been putting it down for far too long. After a quick change into clothes that she didn't mind getting paint on, she went back to work. Even if it wasn't Isabel's favorite piece, it still made her zone out, the brushes moving easily in her hands with the years of experiance she had.

It was not much before 5 when she stepped back, admiring the finished work from far away, feeling a huge relief now that she had it done finally.

She looked at her clock, knowing she was supposed to be at Jenna's after she has finished at work as well. Jenna was her girlfriend, they have been together for around 6 months now and things were going pretty well between the two of them.
She grabbed her keys after washing her hands, getting most of the paint off, not bothering with changing her clothes back.

Isabel arrived to the other girls house, the drive taking some time from the city, but she was glad about it being less hot outside as the evening passed along slowly. She smiled as she drove down on the driveway, noticing her love. She parked down and climbed out, making her way towards her girlfriend who was sitting outside on the steps, probably waiting for Isa with a bottle in her hands, a smile growing wide on her lips.

"Enjoying a beer huh?" She asked teasingly. "When I can't." She laughed softly, her hand motioning towards her car, before she sat down next to Jenna. She wasn't planning on spending the night over, actually she never did before. It was something that just hasn't came up yet. Both of them wanted to play things safe and the game was still going as of now. "I had the most boring day ever. I hope yours was better." Isa says, turning her gaze towards the other girls face and placing her hand gently on Jenna's cheek, giving her lips a soft kiss, lightly tasting the beer on them.
