Michiya had called the old Inazuma Japan team to announce that there was a High School FFI.

"Where's Sakuma-kun?" asked Someoka.

Jousuke looked around. "He should be here."

The coach lowered his head. "I'll get to that after I tell you about the High School Football Frontier International."

Endou jumped in excitement. "Isn't this great?!"

"It is for now, until we hear about Sakuma-kun. Who knows what might have happened?" Ryuuji mentioned.

"All the teams we faced in the last JHS FFI will be there again." The whole team smiled. Then the coach sighed. "But as for Sakuma..."

Kidou and Fudou looked down in sadness as the coach spoke, Fudou managing not to smirk. "Yesterday, Sakuma was hit by a train. He had to have an operation to have his legs removed."

"So you mean...?" Shirou gulped.

"Hai. Sakuma won't be able to play - until he gets his prosthetic legs." Michiya told them all.

"My father got the phone call from Yoshirou-san." Kidou added.

Fudou looked at the rest. "Yeah, his dad rang my mum, too."

"That sucks!" Kabeyama cried and hugged Jousuke.

"He'll be okay, big fella." Jousuke sweatdropped, and sweated even more under the weight.

Michiya sighed. "I'm going to see Sakuma at the hospital. All of you can have a day off."

-

Gouenji came up to Endou. "My father told me about Sakuma. He said his legs were pretty much out of use."

"Who's going to take Sakuma-kun's place, for now, at least?" Kazemaru wondered.

"Either someone from Neo Japan or an old Raimon Chuu player." Someoka suggested.

Ryuuji turned to Hiroto. "Hopefully I'll survive the prelims, this time, and get to meet all the amazing players you guys keep talking about."

Toramaru looked at Endou in complete worship. "As Captain, shouldn't you go and see him?"

Endou nodded and faced Kidou, Gouenji and Kazemaru.

"I'm going to see him later with my father." Kidou told him.

Kazemaru nodded at Mark. "We should wait until Kantoku comes back and see if we can go up."

Endou agreed.

-

Jirou lay in the hospital bed, trying to sleep.

"Sakuma-san, I'm sorry to hear about Sakuma-kun. How is he?" Michiya asked.

Yoshirou looked him in the eye sincerely. "It's kind of you to come. He's not taken it too well - he really wants to be out there, running on the pitch."

Michiya showed real empathy. "How long will his legs take to get here?"

"He has to stay in for five days, but as for his legs... they could be here in a month." Yoshirou informed the coach, sadly.

"May I go in and speak with him?" Michiya requested, staring at Jirou's door.

Yoshirou nodded and opened the door. "Ji-chan, someone is here to see you, son."

As Michiya walked in, Jirou's face suddenly lightened up. "Kantoku! ... Gomen for letting this happen."

Michiya sat on a chair by Jirou's bed. "It wasn't your fault. I hear you're getting some legs. When you get the legs, will you join me and your team in the High School FFI?"

"Of course, Kudou Kantoku! Tada, who's going to take my place?" Jirou beamed excitedly.

Michiya's face fell. "I hadn't thought of that, but you'll be able to play in some matches."

Jirou nodded and sighed. "How did the guys take the news?"

"They were shocked to hear about your accident." Michiya told the cyan-haired boy.

Yoshirou had heard Michiya and Jirou talking. He was glad that his son had great support.

He smiled as Percy came up and out of the room. "Arigatou gozaimasu. Fo-for supporting him."

Michiya gave a small smile. "I'm also here to support you, as well."
