"Dinah told you about the packing thing didn't she?" Lauren quizzed as she rocked slightly on her feet, her question caused the younger girl to nod, perhaps a little to fast.

The two girls engaged in an awkward silence, neither making eye contact, they both found the floor to be much more interesting.

"You, uh, you're here?" Camila finally broke the pending silence, still keeping her eyes on the fluffy white rug that covered up nearly half her bedroom.

"Yes" Lauren breathed, opening her mouth to speak once more but quickly stopping herself.

"Sooo"

"So"

"What's up?" Camila shook her head, cursing herself internally, what's up? Jeez Camila why don't you just punch her in the throat? Probably be less painful.

"Uh, you know" the older girl squeezed her hands together "can we talk? About what happened?"

Camila nodded. The two girls spoke for the next few hours. Both succumbing to long bouts of silence and awkward stares, the younger girl even tried some of her jokes, always earning a slight grin from her older girlfriend.

"Honestly?" Lauren bit her lip, she had planned what she was going to say, if Camila was to go this far, but she was still scared of the outcome.

"Honesty would be nice Laur" Camila let the nickname roll off her tongue, leaving the past four days behind her for just a moment.

"Ok" the older girl let out a breath "I don't want you to wake up one day and want to end this, us, our adventure, I'm scared you'll decide you're over this, you want to move forward with your story, without me"

Camila had finally found herself confident enough to look Lauren in the eyes as she spoke, without a second thought she took her girlfriends hands in her own and intertwined their fingers.

"Listen to me Lauren, you're in all my chapters, my story is with you, always, I want you here by my side until I die and forever after that, I want to call you my wife, and I want you to be the less cooler mom to our children" Lauren couldn't stop the smile that appeared across her face as she squeezed the younger girls hands.

"Why am I the less cooler mom?"

"Come on, look at me, look at this face" the younger girl brings her hands up to her face "have you seen me? You can't out cool me"

"No you're right, I can't out cool you" Lauren let her grin settle on her face as she held back her laughter.

"I'm sorry" the younger Cuban let her hand rest under the older girls chin lift it to bring back the eye contact they previously shared "I should have tried to speak to you"

"You always try and I always shut you down, we're both too stubborn to admit who's wrong at the best of times"

"Who was wrong?" Camila kinked her eyebrow as she bit her lip "pretty sure it was you"

"I will walk right back out of this house Camila, I swear" and with that the younger of the two launch herself on top of the girl opposite her, letting either of her legs rest either side of Lauren so she was now straddling the older girl, pinning her hands above her head.

"I was wrong, it was me, dont you dare leave"

"It was both of us, but obviously you more" Lauren winked at the girl on top of her as she finished her sentence.

Camila leaned down , bringing her lips just inches from Laurens, her breath hitting them causing Lauren to shiver.

"Shut up Lo" the smaller girl whispered, ghosting Laurens lips as she did.

Lauren lifted her head slightly, bringing her lips to Camilas in a soft yet passionate kiss, one that was over sooner than both girls would of preferred.

"Well now that you've made up" Normani pushed open the door with a huge grin on her face "it's not fair is it? Being interrupted? We're going out for dinner and alcohol, alcohol specifically" Camila shook her head lightly while her eyes bored into Laurens.

"I think we're-"

"Did I sound like I was asking?"

The two girls soon joined their two friends, ready to hit the town.
