I was at the studio shooting music for my new album coming out. I just got done shooting, I went over to check my phone to see no new messages from y/n. She usually texts me by now I decided to text her and tell her I'm on my way.

I got in my car and headed home not rushing anything because whatever I did to make her mad I can fix it when I got home.

On the way home I kept getting these calls from a number I didn't know I finally decided to answer it because it was posting me off.

"What the he'll do you want" "is this Shawn Mendes?" "Who the he'll are you?" "You answer my question and I'll answer yours" "yeah I'm Shawn now who are you?" "Sir my name is David I work at the sheriff department, your wife and daughter were in a serious car accident and I need you too come to the hospital as soon as possible" "I-i I'm on my way."

I drove to the hospital as quickly as possible I had tears about to burst out, I ran to the front desk almost falling over. "Do you need help sir." I couldn't speak so I shook my head no "I need your first and last name sir."

"Sha-Shawn Me-Mendes" "and who are you here to see" "my wife and daughter y/n Mendes and my daughter Jayden" I cried out. The nurse told me the room number for my daughter.

I ran as fast as I could to Jayden's room "sweetie?" I call out "daddy I'm scared" I walked over to her and sat next to her bed "there's nothing to be afraid of sweetheart" "then why are you crying?"

"I'll tell you when you get older, I'm going to check on mommy I'll be right back" "no daddy please don't leave me" "okay I'll stay here till you fall asleep" "lay next to me please."

While laying next to my daughter scared for my life the nurse called for me I walked out closing the door "your daughter has a slight concussion and a couple broken bones but other then that she will be okay."

I nodded "what about my wife?" "She's in surgery right now we are trying everything we can." "Do you know what happened?" "We think she was either texting or looking at a text." The nurse walked away leaving me here alone "shit shit shit" I started crying not caring who was watching this is all my fucking fault. I pull out my phone and text Geoff to come meet me here.

He's on of my best friends and he treats Jayden like she's he's own. "Shawn I'm sorry dude" "no it's all my fault I texted her and she was looking at it. It's my fault she crashed I shouldn't have been texting her" "Shawn look at me it's not your fault. Anyone could've been texting her, just stop blaming yourself." He hugged me patting my back "where's Jayden?" "In that room" I pointed he patted my back once again and took off running to her room.

I walked toward y/n's room slowly not wanting to see her in pain I just love her so much, it hurts to see the one you love in so much pain.

I walk in her room and slowly close the door "hey baby-" I pull a seat up next to her bed. "Hey baby I just want you to know I love you so damn much-" I held her hand kissing her knuckles. "I know your in so much pain right now and I know it's my fault I shouldn't have been texting you, I can't believe I did this to you. You don't know how bad it hurts me to see you like this I love you so fucking much. I know your in pain and I know I've said that a lot now but I want you to know you can let go baby. You can let go if you still holding on just for me don't I might not be the best father without you in my life but I'm going to try so hard just for you baby. Your my entire world I don't know what I'm going to do without you but I'll figure it out, me and Jayden love you dearly and we don't want you to be in pain."

I squeezed her hand laying my head on it when I heard beeping I looked up to see her heart rate going down "nurse I need a nurse please help" nurses started rushing in "sir you need to leave" "no no she's my wife I can't" "sir go" they pushed me out.

After a couple of minutes nurses came out of the door with there heads down "sir I'm really sorry but-" "no no she can't be dead" I fell on my knees crying my eyes out. "I love you so fucking much y/n your the best thing that ever happened to me I love you" I cried out.
