Zora's PoV

I wake up still thinking about last night. Its been a week since I told Kami I liked Wilburn too and she hasn't taken it too well since. It sarted little like planting little thumbtacks on my path to bed. Now it's a carpet and bed full of them. I am always on alert and it has caused me to lose focus on the crew. They've started attacking me too. It is so weird. I walk to the shower and start getting ready for the hectic pace of the day. I open the bathroom door click click click I jump back and a crate of nails falls from the ceiling. I can't live in peace unless I do something about the situation. I get dressed skipping the shower and walk out. I walk to Wilburn's door and knock. "Who is it?" He calls "It's me." I say as quietly as I can "Who's me?" he said jokingly as he can to open the door. "Can I come in?" I ask hesitantly "Sure, what's wrong?" I walk in and instantly go to sit down on his bed. He closes the door and sits next to me. I decided to put it bluntly. It would be faster and easier in the long run. "Wilburn I like you. I like you a lot. I don't know how to put this but Kami and I both like you." I tell him. He looks at me and turned red "Zora, I... I don't know what to say." Those words make my eyes prick with tears. "Zora I like you ... a lot too." He said. I hugged him holding him tightly. "Now what is really wrong?" He said breaking the hug. I looked up at him and told him about the past two weeks. "Wait you what?" He said in disbelief "I told her may the best woman win and ever since then her and the whole crew have been attacking me." I said. The things I said to my supposed best friend made me cringe with guilt. He looked at me with the most compationate look I've ever seen. "I don't know how to help, but I will do anything I can." He said. "Just don't leave me." I said almost crying. "I won't." He said while he craddled me. I got up and we walked out to greet the rest of the crew. Brock, Nimrod, and Kami were standing together. Their faces stern and ready for what ever happens next. Captian Timotheus walks out of his cabin and gives the chew their orders. Him leaving Wilburn, Kami, and Me to do nothing. He told us we can go and watch what they're doing or we can go do our own thing. "If I need ye I'll shout." With that Wilburn and I walk down the stairs and into the short hallway of bedrooms. He goes towards mine and I stop him before he opens the door. I rip off a piece of unneeded fabric on my clothes and put it on the doorknob. It was warm. I slowly opened the door and listened closely to see if I heard anything. Nothing. Before I walk in I look down and tap the carpet with my toe. Feels normal. I tap the carpet all the way to my bed as if it was a ritual that I must complete. I made it to the bed and look up to find Wilburn at the door laughing at me. "Just get in dumbass." He walks in mimicking me and my foot steps and sits down next to me. "How long again have they been doing this to you?" He asked " Its been about 2 weeks." He lays back and say "You need to chill." I look at him and put simply "When I'm not hunted by pirates anymore I'll chill." I lay back with him. "Soo... would you like to stay in my room till they stop?" I sat up fast and looked at him. "I don't want you to get involved." I tell him "Well, I was involved when my girlfriend told me others were trying to hurt her." My face growing warmer as he grabs my hand and leads me to his cabin. I walk in and I go into my ritual of checking to see if it's safe. I realize he is starring so I stop and walk in normally. He goes back to my cabin before we went to sleep and grabbed the mattress off my bed. I head to my bed saying "Thanks." He stops me as I bend down and picks me up and sets me down lightly on to his bed. "Good night princess." He said lightly kissing my forehead. Then he crawled on to my mattress and went to sleep leaving me up to think about how far we'll go.
