Chapter 7 - And So The Fire Burns

Darling laughs, shrugging of the fellow huntress' remark.

"Well nevertheless, duty beckons is to come to their aid. Let us stride in to our ship with Goddess Artemis' name on our mind. We must be there before the crack of dawn."

She leads them towards their ship, taking one last look at the beautiful base of Artemis' huntresses.

"Are you coming Darling?," says Zöe, a fellow huntress.

"Yeah give me one sec," replied Darling, "Can you just assign everyone to their roles whilst I attend to something."

"Sure miss," Says Zöe, with a kind smile.

Darling smiles back before she turns to the base and hurries to her dorm.
She tied her hair back and searched frantically for her sword.

She hadn't used this for what? Half a decade?
Hunters were more bow and arrows so she hadn't had an opportunity to use it but she had a feeling that the sword will come in handy now.

She runs out quickly, tucking her sword in her pouch, "Let's go girls!"

Apple stood on the balcony. Her seemingly endless blonde curls blew in the April wind.

She found herself lost in memories and thoughts.
Memories of broken promises.

"Oh Raven, why did you do this to yourself..." She asked herself, with a sadness that was to linger forever- so they told her. A single tear slid down her cheek.

The wind was awfully strong-
Wait, is that even the wind , Apple thought to herself.
It was then Kitty appeared from thin air.
Her Purple hair was done beautifully, waved in a seemingly natural way. It whipped in the wind- annoyingly getting in the way of her piercing green eyes. She wore pale blue, distressed jeans that complimented her lilac flesh tone. She wore a black tank top with a print that represented her signature purple zig zags- she was letting of some serious tumblr vibes.

"Kitty?"

"At your service!" She says in an upbeat tone.

"To what I do I own this pleasure?"

Kitty had transported herself behind Apple- an element of surprise is always necessary to enlighten the mood.

"Oh Kitty, do make yourself known for goodness sake."

"Sorry," Kitty replies with a chuckle,"Anyway I have heard of the war and frankly I think you need me- your all at loss without me."

With that Kitty disappeared once more, only to reappear from the window up the balcony, twisting a strand of her hair, she asked- "Before I ask for instructions on what to do I must ask- why don't you- as leader of course- not do anything at all for this 'war' "

"I- I- Uh- umm- like..." stuttered Apple.

"Wow that's a confident answer," says Kitty in a sarcastic tone.

"Anyway, what do I do, Miss White?"

"Can you ermm, meet up with Cerise and the crew- they're looking for the entrance to Wonderland but they're lost quite a bit!"

"Sure thing," and with that, Kitty disappeared with a flourish, shooting one last malicious grin at Apple.
