Chapter 9 - Missing

Charming Charlesworth wakes up from his slumbers. He reaches for his Mirror phone, "let's please everyone with a picture of the most beautiful man in the world..."
He takes a quick SnapChat (captioned with, "Who just loves my abs?!")
Ugh.

"Ashlynn... darling," he snarled, "go summon the maids to make me my breakfast."
When his order was not replied he turned to the right hand side of his bed, only to see that where Ashlynn should be asleep, there was just an empty space.

In fury, Charlesworth rang the bell besides his bed. In just a matter of seconds, a dozen of red-faced servants stumbled to the door.

"Where is Ashlynn?!"
His question was met with a silence.

"I said, you filthy peasants, WHERE IS ASHLYNN..."

A young maiden, with dark hair and a cunning face said, "Well actually sir, I saw a man throwing rocks at the window and Ashlynn seemed quite smitten about it all- the last I saw of them was when they ran across the castle grounds in an excited frenzy."

Charlesworth looked shock for a brief moment before recovering, "Well she'll have quite a surprise waiting for her."

Ashlynn and Hunter sat down besides the tree, the trees where their initials were engraved upon.

The sun was letting out scorching rays, the light breeze complimenting it greatly.
"Hey Hunter, I think I should go," whispered Ashlynn, scared to break the beautiful atmosphere.

"No please don't," said Hunter,"Your engagement with Prince Charlesworth is in just under a month and if conquering the evil in Raven doesn't work out then we can only guess that we won't see each other again..."

"I promise I'll come later today to the Strawberry Fields but I need to go before Charlesworth suspects anything."

"Fine," says Hunter in disappointed defeat.

"So do we just sit here or...?" Rosabella asked. Dexter cracked his knuckles.

"I usually just sit here, once in a while I hear Raven and Hunter in a fight but it's usually normal."

Rosabella put her hands on her hips.

"Looks like I have more work to do than I hexpected." She muttered to herself.
Dexter glanced at her and smirked. It's a good thing Daring has a princess like her to keep things in check. In a few moments and panting Hunter came running down the hall into the dungeon. "Took you long enough!" Rosabella said.

"Sorry sorry! I was meeting someone important and I couldn't get caught." Hunter said openeing the locks while picking his breath back up. Dexter and Rosabella both got up and exited the dungeon.

"Alright, follow me." Hunter said. The three of them walked down the dark stone hall that was lighted by torches.

"Alright, I'll talk to Raven and then I'll tell you when to come in." Hunter whispered. The two of them nodded and waited next to the door Hunter went inside of. Rosabella fidgeted with her fingers

"I don't know, should I be nervous or not?" She whispered.

"Raven never hurt me, so I guess not." Dexter whispered back. Suddenly the door swung open and the both of them took a deep breath and walked in.

Raven was sitting on a leather seat and resting her feet with studded heels on a stool.

"Looks like a little princess lost her friends." She grinned. Rosabella didn't mutter a word.

Raven glanced at Dexter. "Take them to their rooms, and don't give them the ones with the bathrooms, their too nice." Raven said.

Hunter rolled his eyes. And nudged his head for the two to follow him again. Rosabella took a sigh of relief. "I hexpected much worse."

"Me too." Hunter replied.

Dexter didn't reply, but kept staring at the floor while he was walking. Rosabella glanced over at him and realized that something was different about him that they saw Raven again. She grinned a bit that her plan was about to take place.

"Alright! Enough messing around! Alistair is now demoted and I'll lead!" Kitty yelled.

Alistair crossed his arms. "If your so sure of yourself then lead the way."

Kitty turned around with a a slight attitude and marched on. "Wait!"

Cerise yelled. Everyone stopped in their tracks and turned around to face Cerise.
"Where's Rosabella?" She said. Everyone's eyes shot up and realized that one of their members was missing.

"Where was the last time anyone saw her?" Daring said with his hand on the handle of his sword.

"The last time I saw her she was sitting on that stump, she shrieked and I asked if she was okay." Cerise said looking around her surroundings.

Alistair crouched over to find a broken compact mirror. "Is this hers?" He asked. Daring walked over to Alistair and examined it. "Yes it is, I recognize it."
"Well why is it broken?" Duchess asked. "I have no clue." Daring said with his voice getting softer. Kitty magically appeared  next to Daring and snatched it from his hands. Daring furrowed his brow at her. Kitty sniffed the mirror and scrunched her nose. "That's black magic." She said.

"That can't be good." Alistair said. 
Sparrow walked more up to the group.

"You think...?"

"I'm afraid so..." Daring sighed.
