The clerics tell us of a time where Faylorne was guarded by angelic creatures known as the Fay. It was the Crusaders who fought alongside them and learned of their majestic ways. Men and women who were chosen for their strong belief and will, were granted such an honor.
It is also said that the elves were the ones who turned their scornful eyes upon man and the Fay. They used a old dark magic in an attempt to usurp the Fay and steal their angelic abilities however, the black ritual did not go as planned. Instead of seizing control of the Fay it corrupted them. They were transformed into dark, grotesque abominations, turning on those they once protected. The Fay, now known has the Dreadgar feasted upon man and elf alike.
Twas then that the dwarves, as secluded as they were, ascended to the surface and joined man and elf in their battle against the Dreadgar and their minions. This would be the first and last time the three main races of the land stood united.
The dwarven king, Bellerahm, used an ancient hammer known as the Fist of Hadgar, to create what is known today as the Pillar of Wrath to imprison the Dreadgar and save the land, that would soon be renamed to Faylorne. A age of silence swept over the land of Faylorne were man, elf, and dwarf alike lived in relative peace.
Today the races, separated from each other once more, are ever forgetful of the Alliance that they shared against the Dreadgar, satisfied in turning history into legend......
