A Tail Emerges

A few hours had past before I was disturbed by something fluffy going up my back it wasn't much at the time so I ignored it but as I continued to sleep I could feel it getting bigger and reaching further up my back so I removed the covers thinking it was one of those blighted cats that tried to attack me earlier but was shocked when I saw what it was and a scream burst from my mouth before I knew what was going on which caused the nurse who knew what was going on to burst into the room to where I was resting "are you alright young man?" she uttered as she was trying to catch her breath "miss I... I've got a tail now please get Mr Yonuske." I replied as I lifted it up to reveal it to her "oh my goodness it isn't going to be as easy to get you home now that, that has appeared on you." he stuttered before going to get him. a few moments later Mr Yonuske, Yasmin and James all came through the door not fully understanding the situation until they looked at me standing next to the window with my new tail nervously wagging from side to side waiting for a scream of disbelief but to my delight there was no scream but a stroke on it which at first shocked me but I found it comforting at the same time "Harry it's gorgeous, when did it appear." "a few moments ago Yasmin, but it was a surprise to me as I was sleeping and I felt something running up my back and I thought it was one of the cats that attacked earlier but nope it was this." I replied as I lifted it up gestering for her to continue stroking it "do you find it comforting to have that stroked Harry?" James asked and I simply nodded to say yes "strangely it seems to soothe my nerves having it stroked as it." I said "Harry try not to let your emotions get the better of you as most animals that have tails show emotion through there tails so be careful about that."soon as Mr Yonuske finished saying that it shot straight up behind me out of shock before gently dropping back to Yasmin's hands to stroke again "sir as I'm not used to having a tail I might not be able to control it properly for a while plus I'm still getting used to my ears." "I understand that young man which is why I'm going to ask the nurse to have you off ill for a few weeks whilst you get used to them but I will also be off to home school you so that you don't fall behind the rest of your class and end up resitting this year of your school life." "understood sir I will try my best to get control over them to be able to return when I'm ready."
