We were happy as we gathered our gear
I was very tired since we woke up so early
I hope I don't fall asleep
But I was ready for our adventure on the river
My little sister who is only 9 joined me
I told her she would have the best day of her life
Knowing she loves the river
We put our gear into the kayak and headed off
She splashed the water and gave me a happy smile
I knew she'd like it
We sailed off farther
I ended up falling asleep
Later I woke up
I grabbed my paddles and began to steer us again
I began to hear a rushing water sound
As if a wild current ahead
My sister still splashing
I began to look ahead of us and saw no rapids
But a drop off
This could only be one thing...
A waterfall
I stared in disbelief as to what our happy journey has come to
Everything happened so fast
My sister still laughing and smiling
I began to make her realize what was ahead
I started to row as hard as I could
But the current was too strong
We just went faster
She started to cry
I couldn't stand it
I started to panic and without thinking...
I told her we would have to jump
We got up
And jumped off
I accidentally let go of her as she drifted off farther into the stream
Crying for me
I just stared
And in a flash
She was gone
I swam and jumped off the falls
I see her still falling
I reached for her and she did the same
No contact
Clouds began to block my view as we plunged right into them
Then I hit the water
I immediately woke up
It was all a dream
I grabbed my paddles and began to steer us again
I then started to what a rushing water sound
As if a wild current ahead...
