Casey got dressed in the darkness. Her underwear was not dry so she pulled on just her tank top and jeans over her marked skin. The nothingness beyond her door was digging at her. Where was he? Did she want him to come back in? Did the others know? Casey thought once more of that beast creature. Why was she not allowed to be touched? What difference would that make to a beast? The questions that filled her mind were ones she knew would be answered with time. But it was hard to accept that when time was not something she could measure.

All of a sudden the lights flickered back on, making Casey squint at the sudden brightness after enjoying the dark while she could. The teen should have been more annoyed that the light wasn't off for longer so she could have gotten some proper sleep, but after her interaction with Dennis, Casey was almost Certain she wouldn't be able to shut her brain off for a while.

After almost a minute, her door knob twisted and the heavy wood swung open. Dennis. A mix of relief and anxiousness befell Casey at the sight of him. The relief left quickly when he shut the door and headed straight for her, making Casey back up against the wall. He didn't touch, but he was so very close.
"I told you to stay on the bed." He spoke with such authority and strength in his voice, overbearing and deep.  "You didn't listen." A strong hand was placed on the wall by her head, making the teen suck in air through her parted lips.
"I'm sorry... I didn't know you were coming back." Her voice was small and wobbly, unnerved but intrigued by his proximity.

Dennis' other hand went to the tank top, eyes flicking to the underwear still on the headstand. Fingers following material from her shoulder to where it spanned out to form the rest of the top, his whole presence pressed down around her.
"The Beast is coming." Dennis reassured her with a low threatening tone to his voice. Leaning down, his lips brushed against her ear as he whispered to her. "He's going to devour you."

Casey's whole body went rigid at those deep, heavy words. Her eyes were closed but she could feel him pressing even closer to her, squeezing her into the tiniest space against the wall. "He's much larger than I am, and I'm the biggest of all of us." The hand that was on her top moved to brush Casey's hair back. Dennis then pulled back from her ear to stay just millimeters from the teens face. "He believes we are extraordinary."

Casey's head was spinning. That voice. Those words. Eyes opening, a quiet whimper left her mouth at the closeness of her captor. The man hesitated at the sound, unsure what to make of it until Casey's fingers reached to touch Dennis' waist.
"I-I don't want the beast to come." She whispered earnestly, feeling the expensive material of his open shirt. It must have been removed or undone as he was fixing the fuse box. Maybe he took it off to avoid getting it dirty. The vest underneath was just as spotless and tight on his large torso. "I w-want you to stay. Please." Dennis let out a huff of air and lowered his head, squeezing his eyes shut. Casey had to do better. She moved her hand from the shirt to the vest, not just holding the material but instead taking a grasp of his hip, breathing through open lips. That made Dennis jump a little, head raising to meet Casey's gaze with wide, surprised eyes. Casey did not falter and only made a small squeak when a large hand cupped her cheek as it had before.

A spark went off in Casey's head that she had not felt before. It was a strange sort of need that was only felt by her when in extreme hunger or thirst. But this was different. It was a hunger for more touch. She wanted him to push closer. To close the gap. She really did want him to stay there. Of course she wanted to leave, but when thinking about the life she would have to return to, the alternate seemed possibly better as long as it stayed the way it did in that moment. Another quiet "Please." left the teens lips with out her meaning it to, the word breathed into Dennis, nothing but a plea for him to stay in the light. Could he protect her from the others? Or was he the one she needed protection from? What if it was a mind game he was playing to get her to do what he wanted? But as Casey looked deeper into her captor, she saw nothing new. No new confidence or game plan. He was the same slightly unsure but determined Dennis. It was so real between them. Too real.

Dennis leaned forwards and unexpectedly pressed his lips to Case's forehead, raising goosebumps on the girl's arms.
"I'm constantly being reminded that you're not mine. You're not here for me." He murmured against her forehead. "They're so loud." Casey couldn't help but feel some sympathy for some of the tortured souls that lived in that body. It must be hell to never be alone. And the man had to listen. There was no blocking it out when it was inside his head. He may have the light, but that didn't mean he was free of his torment.

He leaned own, pressing his forehead against hers and stayed very quiet and very still. Casey could feel her eyelashes brushing against his glasses as they hung in suspension together once more. It seemed to be what they did. It was as if they were saying so much about things neither one understood without uttering a single word. That time it was Casey who leaned in to close the gap. Experiencing the most power she had felt since being put in her cell, The teen took the lead and rose onto her toes to met his lips with her own again, filling that empty aching need that had been churning her up since he had pulled away the first time. The kiss was returned almost hungrily and lasted longer than the other, each participant finding their own eden there. Casey lowered back to her heels, parting their kiss unwillingly and bunched his vest up in her fist. Another quiet request slipped from her lips. An ignorant, selfish ask of her captor to fight everything inside him just for the sake of her feelings.
"Take control."

// Hello my beautiful readers! I'm sorry this one took a while, I just had to decide what direction I wanted to take this. As I'm sure those of you who write will understand, it's very hard not to descend into a very easy to write happily ever after story after the first kiss. But we all know that's not how it would happen in this story. I hope you like this chapter! It's so lovely getting such a great response but it does make one nervous about getting it wrong. Please let me know what you think of this one in the comments and I will update ASAP as always! Thank you for sticking with me! See you in the next chapter. //
