Leaving...Again

Kim's P.O.V
I wake up feeling Jack's strong arms around me and smile to myself. Jack climbs out of bed but I'm still tired so I just lay there.

I can hear him downstairs making breakfast. I'm starving. Finally, I decide to get out of bed and get some breakfast.

I walk into the kitchen and see Jack with his back leaning against the counter drinking a cup of coffee.

He's still not wearing a shirt and my eyes drift towards his abs. I couldn't help not staring.

"Enjoying the view Kim?" he asks. I quickly tear my eyes away. "No," I say walking towards the pantry and making myself a bowl of cereal.

I shovel it down. I'm so hungry I could eat a horse. "So," Jack says jumping up and sitting in the counter, "What do you want to do today,"

I open my mouth to answer but the my phone rings.

Jack's P.O.V
"What do you want to do today?" I ask. She opens her mouth to answer but then her phone rings.

"Hello?" I hear muffled noises coming from the other end. "But- but that's not fair!" she sighs. "Yes I know. Fine I'll be in the next flight tomorrow." she hangs up tears brimming her eyes.

"You have to go back?" I ask even though I already know the answer. She nods, "Ya,"

She looks as if she going to burst into tears. "Come here," I say opening my arms and extending them towards her.

She walks up to me and wraps her arms around my waist burying her face in my chest.

Everything feels so right. Like my world is whole again. She removes her face from my chest and looks up at me.

I start to lean towards her. I faces are only inches apart. We're moving closer about close the gap when my phone rings.

We awkwardly pull apart. And I look to see whose calling. Ugh, God dammit Jerry!

I reluctantly answer. "Hello?" I say quite annoyed. "Yo dude! Practice started an hour ago where are you?"

"Oh shit!" I say. "I'll be there in fifteen minutes!" I say hanging up.

"Practice" I say to Kim. "You coming?" "Ya" she says. We both go up to my room to grab our clothes.

I walk out and go down the hall to change in the bathroom. I quickly change and walk back into my room to grab my keys completely forgetting Kim was in there.

I open the door and her eyes go wide. She's standing there in jeans and her hot pink bra. "Oh shit!"

"Jack!" she screams. I turn to start leaving. "Don't bother leaving you've already seen me." she says. I turn back towards her studying her.

Her cheeks were bright red. "Aww is Kimmy embarrassed?" I teased. She puts her hand on her cheeks probably to see if she could feel them heating up.

She hangs her head down. I walk over to her and scoop her up bridal style. "What are you doing?" she says panicking rising in her voice.

"Oh I don't know...the weather's kind of nice outside. How do you feel about a stroll around the neighborhood?"

A look of horror comes over her face as I move her from my arms to over my shoulders. I start walking towards the door.

"Jack Brewer you put me down right this instant!" she yells pending on my back. I walk back to where I picked her up and set her down. My hands still on her waist.

"Im only teasing you Kimmy," she glares at me then bends down to pick her shirt up off the floor.

"Let's go she says" once she puts her shirt on. I grab my keys and scoop her up bridal style again. This time she doesn't resist. Probably because she's not half naked.

When we get there she runs into a fitness store to buy a workout outfit real quick. Then we go into the dojo.

We both go to our separate locker rooms to change. I put on a tight black t-shirt and blacks sweats.

Kim comes out in grey and neon yellow yoga pants and a matching neon yellow spaghetti strap tank top.

We spar and work on new moves for the next three hours. It may seems long but we have fun and it goes by quick.

Afterwards we change and all head to Phil's. Everyone's ready but me. I'm still checking my phone. "You guys go without me ill catch up!" I say. They all reply okay and walk out the door.

I open my phone and see a text from Donna.

Donna: hey Jack in really regret dumping you. I miss you and I want to get back together.

I read it andy stomach sinks. I have to let Donna down. I just can't go back to her. Not after I just got Kim back.

At first I was just happy but to have my best friend back but now all those feelings I used to have for her are back.

I decide to text her later and turn to leave but she's there in the court yard waiting for me. Crap.

I walk out the door to face. "Jack-" "Donna look it's over. I'm sorry but I just can't start dating you again." I say.

"You can't really mean that!" she leans towards me trying to kiss me but I push her away.

"Im sorry but I can't. Not with Kim back." "Ugh" she cried storming away. I feel bad but it had to be done. "Jack?"

I turn to see Kim start walking away.

Kim's P.O.V

I walk out of Phil's to see what's taking Jack so long. But I see him out there with Donna.

You can't really mean that!" she leans towards him trying to kiss him but he push her away.

"I'm sorry but it can't. No with Kim around." "Ugh she screams and storms away.

I can't believe it! He turned down Donna Tobin, a girl he really liked because of me.

I have to leave. I'm just ruining his life. "Jack?" I say but then decide I have nothing to say and start walking away.

"Kim wait!" he runs after me. "Save it Jack!" I say, tears threatening to spill. I feel his strong hand grab my wrist. I struggle to get away.

"Jack let me go!" he pins me up against the wall. "Kim what's the matter?"

"What's the matter?" I say, "What's the matter?!" I yell even louder.

"Oh I'll tell you what's the matter! I'm back for two days after being gone for three and half years. I left because of you! I lost everything I had left when you got together with Donna! But now I see how happy she makes you and I don't want you losing your happiness because of me! Im just ruining everything! I'm just a huge burden you don't need to be around. You care for Donna not me and if that's the way it is than you two can be happy the way you always wanted to be! I'll just leave and you can go back to your happy life!" I finish and I'm breathing heavily. Hot tears are streaming down my face.

"That's what you think this is about? You think I still like Donna?" he says. "Of course! You guys are happy so I'm leaving!"

"Dammit Kim!" he says and the next thing I know he crashes lips onto mine. His hands are around my waist and I move my hands to around his neck.

Eventually we pull away for air. "Kim I was not happy while you were gone. I was miserable. I thought about you everyday you were gone. I loved you from the day I met. I thought you would never feel the same way so I gave up and went out with Donna. I thought I was over you but when I say you again, all those feelings came rushing back. Kim it's always been you. I love you." he says to me.

"I love you too Jack."
