Chapter Five

April's POV-

Tonight me and Alek are watching all of the Saw movies. The first one to fall asleep has to clean up our mess of crumbs, empty chip bags, empty soda cans, candy wrappers, and soon to be eaten snacks that will end up on the floor.

Im not planning on cleaning up tomorrow so I drank five energy drinks before Alek played the movies.

So far Alek has gotten through one movie without crying like a baby. I always tease him because the first time we watched a horror movie alone, he had me walk him to the bathroom. That was years ago we had to be around six or seven.

I get scared easily but to prevent being teased I hold it in. The Saw movies are not even scary their just graphic and detailed. All of the special effects are so realistic.

"Ape im scared" Alek says from the opposite side of the couch, obviously joking.

"me too" I say back rolling my eyes. Alek laughs and we finish the second movie.

In the middle of the third movie we wanted some ice cream so we got a pint to share out of the freezer. Together we managed to finish all of our mint ice cream.

To eat our ice cream we sat next to each other. Comfortable enough, I decided not to move. We went on to the fourth movie both of us feeling a little tired. the sun will come up in about an hour.

"Ape, share the blanket" Alek told me referring to the blanket I wrapped myself in.

"fine.." I say with a sigh.

I sit a little closer to him so the blanket covers both of us. Alek wraps one arm around me and I place my head on his bare cheast feeling very comfortable.

Alek yawns causing me to yawn right after.

"Ape?" Alek whispers to me

"yeah?" I say looking up at him.

"im sorry your first date was terrible. I should of been there to stop it I knew it was a bad idea for you to go out. im sorry for not trying hard enough." Alek says still whispering.

"Alek its fine, there is no need to apologize. its not your fault Dominic is a jerk. I love you for trying though." I whisper to  Alek honestly.

"I love you too April" Alek tells me In a lower whisper.

I just realized how close me and Alek are. Our heads just inches away from each other.

I feel really stupid now because I want to kiss my best friend. I cant as much as I would love it- it would be wrong... My eyes look from Alek's eyes to his lips then back up to his eyes. Only to see Alek's eyes doing the same to me.

Me and Alek both lean in slowly. Now centimeters way from each others lips. Alek closes his eyes. My eyes act on their own and close as well.

This feels so right! yet so wrong... I can't kiss Alek it will ruin our friendship. Why cant I pull away? I love Alek but it would be terrible if I was in love with him. Right?

Our lips just barely touching... We hear someone banging at the door.

We both pull away fast and rush to the door. Who is hear an hour before sunrise?

We are surprised to see two suprised looking police officers. Thats when I remember that I am only wearing a shirt and boxer shorts and Alek is only wearing sweat pants. That is probably what surprised the officers. This looks so wrong...

"officers, how can I help you?"  Alek asks the two officers.

" April Rogers?" One officer asks me.
