1 week later~

Lyric pov~

   I realized I just need a break from Niqo and just some time to hang out with my girls that's what we're in LA for anyway. Since the talk we had we have been spending a little alone time together every now and then. But thank God this vacation is almost over because I need to be back at home to be honest  I'm actually a little home sick. I miss my mom,dad,and friends out there. I even miss my sister and brother a little bit even though they get on my last nerves. But I still love them.

Niqo pov~

  I'm kinda second guessing this engagement thing am I really ready to commit this early at 17? I love lyric a lot and I don't want to hurt her but maybe I'm just having cold feet it's normal I'm sure that I'll be fine. But now that I really think about it I do want to spend the rest of my life with her. She's the first girl that I've fallen deeply in love with. And also my whole family loves her and on top of that I don't want nobody else. I just want her. 

   I hit up my boy Nova hopefully he can give me some advice. Since he went through all this stuff and going through it again with Nia. Yea it's true Nia and Ji broke up and she got with Nova.

  "So how did you know that Nia was the one for you?"

  "It was a gut feeling and she is so gorgeous,loving, caring, and warm hearted who wouldn't want her ?"

   "Woah I never thought I'd hear that coming out of your mouth. You out of all people?!"

   He chuckled at me.

  "Yea , yea , yea , I know I'm the same man that said I would never settle down but I did. But you was the same man that say he don't dance,yet you dance around every time you perform."

  I laughed. "Yea that's true".

  "So you having cold feet huh?"

"Yea I just don't know if I'm ready to fully commit. Well yea I feel this way now but I don't know if I'll feel the same way later on in life. Like right now I don't want nobody else. But what if I do later?"

  "Well how long have you been with lyric?"

"A year and a half now "

"Did you want anybody else yet?"

"Nah".

"Ok then it's just you having cold feet that's all it perfectly normal bro"

I just smirked and nodded. "Ight thanks bro".

"No problem bro that's what I'm here for. To help you with the ladies".

We looked at each other and starting laughing. I love my Lil brother because he always keep it real with me.

Lyric pov~
I haven't seen my girls Nia and Peach in a while so we chilling at the nail salon. We're having a girls night out.

Peach: So Nia how you been since you and JI break up?

Nia: I been straight Nova was there for me and he still is.

Me: So why did y'all even break up?

Nia: He was cheating on me. He would come in the house smelling like perfume and had lipstick on his collar and he wouldn't let me go on his phone. Just stuff like that.

I started thinking about Niqo at that moment. He comes in smelling like perfume. But the lady that works at that play ground that they play basketball at smells like that same exact perfume every time I go there and he gives her a hug when he comes and leaves so he's not cheating on me.

Peach: Wow did you catch him?

Nia: Yea I came home and walked in our room while him and the girl was starting to get busy. I was so hurt he told me he would never do that to me but he did and the stupid thing about the situation was that I actually believed him.

Peach: Yea girl I see where you coming from.

Lyric: It's okay girl.

Lyric: So.... Peach how is you and poopy are y'all still together?

Peach: No we not together no more but we still friends.

Nia: Oh why did y'all break up?

Peach: We just think that we are better off as friends. One because we are both still young. Two neither one of us are ready to commit. And three we have careers and he has a lot of groupies on tour and I can't deal with all that.

Lyric: I see where you coming from.

Peach: yea.

Nia: Since you all up in our tea what's up with you and Niqo? I heard he purposed to you.

Lyric: Yea he did but I started to get cold feet I guess. Like started to think he was cheating on me because he was always out with his friends that he made out here and he would come in late. But he was just playing basketball with them. But I'm good now.

Peach: Good because y'all are good together and I don't want anything bad to happen to you guys.

Nia: I wish you guys the best.

Lyric: same to you and Nova and peach you need to find you a new lil boy toy.

She looked at me and started laughing.

Peach: yea true.

We got up and paid for our nails and left the nail salon and headed over to subway to eat and finish catching up. I really missed my girls I was too focused on spending more and more time with Niqo instead of our friends but I really just needed a vacation from niqo. I can't wait to see him later on though . I miss him I haven't seen him all day.

Not too long not too short.☺️ But anyway do  you guys like the book so far? What do you think will happen to Niqo and Lyric?
