"David?""It's a yes from me!" he shouts, his gorgeous grin widening even further.
"It a yes from me," Alesha states as well, followed by Amanda with the same exact verdict.
I turn back to the contestants. "Guys," the young group of performers hold their breath with anticipation, fidgeting about as they wait for my decision, "you have four yeses. Congratulations". The audience goes wild as the group leaves the stage with explosive excitement. As the stage becomes clear of the remaining performers, I begin to overhear Amanda and Alesha continuing to praise the group. I turn towards them, although not out of interest to join in their chit chat, but to see what David's doing without being suspected.
David had turned towards the audience directly behind him and seemed to be having a lively conversation with a man surrounded by a group of women. The man was good looking - very good looking - and I couldn't help but feel he was flirting with my David... Ah, I mean...!
David and the women bursted into hearty laughter as the man finished whatever he was saying. Hmmm... I'm not impressed.
"Hey Simon?"
"Hmm?"
"What's wrong? You look as though someone broke up One Direction". Even though I know she was exaggerating, I could tell that Amanda was genuinely concerned about me.
"I'm fine, Sweetheart, just thinking about what to do with AGT". She didn't seem to buy it, but she didn't press me further about it. Which was good, because I wasn't in the mood. Seeing some loser trying and, unfortunately, succeeding, judging by how closer they managed to get without David falling off the panel ('and into his lap' my mind supplied nastily), getting more and more of David's attention has left me feeling sour.

I'm so glad that auditions finished earlier than expected.
From the moment I first witnessed it to the moment the very last contestant came onto the stage, David and the man practically flirted nonstop. I don't know what David sees in the guy ('besides being incredibly good looking and young, Simon?' my subconscious reminded me), but thankfully we won't be seeing anymore of him as this was our last night in this city.
Or so I thought.
"Anyone up for a few snacks and drinks at the hotel bar?" Alesha asked us as we were returning to our dressing area.
Amanda whole heartedly agreed to join the other girl, and I simply gave a nod and shrug. After all, we did finish incredibly early.
"If you guys don't mind, can I bring along Max to our little party?" David asked while playing around with his phone.
Max? Who's Max?
"Max? Who's Max, David?" Alesha asked.
"You didn't see, Alesha?" piped Amanda.
"See what?"
"Max is that seriously, incredibly hot guy David's to been talking to all night! Isn't that right, David?" She turned to the comedian, a huge smirk plastered across her face.
"Well, I wouldn't say he's that hot," he replied.
"But you do find him hot. And he is the guy you were talking to!" she concluded triumphantly.
As David blushed and smiled uncontrollably in response, I remained completely speechless. And upset.
"Don't tell me you were trying to hook up with someone while you were suppose to be working, David," I acquired, barely able to keep my true emotions hidden underneath my words.
David stared at me longer than deemed normal. I couldn't decipher the look he was giving me before he grinned and replied, "Of course, I was working Simon. But when a man that hot asks for your number...,"
Amanda and 'Lesha bursted out laughing, their witch cackles practically be heard by small, and now frighten, children across the city. David chuckled with them while I blushed with embarrassment, unable to form a good retort to such a statement.
"Oi! What's with all that laughter - and can we join?!"
We turn around to find Ant and Dec making their way towards us. The boys couldn't have come at a better time.
"Of course you can join us!" stated Amanda, "in fact, we're heading to the bar; you boys would love that!"
"And David's bringing a date!" announced Alesha.
"A date, eh?" Ant winked cheekily at the man. David blushed and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Is she cute?" acquired Dec.
"He is," David stated.
"Haha! I knew you were flirting with that guy! You owe me a beer, Decky!" exclaimed Ant.
Everyone but me bursted into giggles. I was unable to contain myself, "You knew, too!?"
Silence. The looks ranged from confused to totally weirded out. I couldn't speak a word either. How could I when everyone's probably figured out by now that I wasn't happy with this development in David's love life.
"Simon?" David started, but I cut him off.
"Look, sorry everyone. I guess I'm really tired and not in a good mood. I don't want to spoil your fun, so I think I'll actually head to bed early for once, and leave you to it,"
I didn't bother waiting for a reply. I turned around and continued on my own back to the dressing area as quickly as I could, hoping none of them would try stop me.
No one tried to stop me.
